On Sunday, May 17th, two of thearea's best known organizations, theMRCC and the New York–New JerseyTrail Conference, will team up to hostthe first 5K Road Race and 1.5 MileWalk. Major sponsors already onboard include the Prestige Family ofDealerships, Fleet Feet Sports, SharpElectronics Corporation, and TD Bank.The Trail Conference is raising thefunds needed to restore and re-pur-pose the Darlington Schoolhouse as a
conservation training center andthe Trail Conference’s newheadquarters; the Mahwah
Regional Chamber of Commerce isdoing its part to help. Starting at the newly restored Darling-ton Schoolhouse, this relatively flat3.1 mile course features highlightsthat include the scenic Ramapo Reser-vation and River, the beautiful Hunt &Polo Club neighborhood, and RamapoCollege's historic Havemeyer House.The Course follows a combination ofpaved roads, woodland roads andwell-maintained grass and dirt trailsback to the finish line at the Darling-ton Schoolhouse.
