On Sunday, May 17th, two of the area's best known organizations, the MRCC and the New York–New Jersey Trail Conference, will team up to host the first 5K Road Race and 1.5 Mile Walk. Major sponsors already on board include the Prestige Family of Dealerships, Fleet Feet Sports, Sharp Electronics Corporation, and TD Bank. The Trail Conference is raising the funds needed to restore and re-pur- pose the Darlington Schoolhouse as a conservation training center and the Trail Conference’s new headquarters; the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce is doing its part to help. Starting at the newly restored Darling- ton Schoolhouse, this relatively flat 3.1 mile course features highlights that include the scenic Ramapo Reser- vation and River, the beautiful Hunt & Polo Club neighborhood, and Ramapo College's historic Havemeyer House. mrcc.bizI am consistently impressed by

the caliber of the events that

the MRCC holds. Each event is

put together with the intent of

assisting members in building

business, expanding connec-

tions throughout the community

and to support the region overall through networking

and awareness. The MRCC staff and board have a

true understanding of how an effective Chamber

can be an integral part of a business’ marketing

plan and have created a myriad of opportunities to

put people together to achieve those goals.

As a Marketing & Business Development Director

challenged with expanding into Bergen County,

the MRCC is playing an integral part for us to

achieve that goal.
