Aspects of Federal Accountability Requirements • Review current requirements for your school under federal law and
compile a list of actions needed to meet federal law requirements.• Work with school leaders to lead professional development sessions for
improving student achievement, as described under federal law.• Work with school leaders to analyze SOL data to ensure that the school
has a plan of action for federal law alignment.• Develop and implement a school improvement project based on an
analysis of current school needs. • Participate in or lead an examination of testing policies and procedures
in your school.• Attend a Virginia Board of Education meeting to observe and report back
on the development of state policy

School Leadership• Lead a faculty meeting on some aspect of promoting appropriate
technologies.• Lead and participate in a school improvement session with all
stakeholders.• Facilitate the revision of the school mission statement.• Become the school’s representative to a community organization• Lead a group in some aspect of cultural diversity in the school or school
district.• Ask permission to accompany the Principal/AP to a division’s leadership
team meeting.• Participate in Leadership Academies/professional development programs.• Attend a division-wide crisis planning meeting or attend a community
crisis planning meeting.

Instructional Supervision• Observe teachers through classroom visits/walk-throughs and
develop feedback.• Work with teachers who are having problems motivating special
populations of students and suggest ways to help students be successful.
• Initiate professional development sessions for faculty on the observation/evaluation process.
• Survey faculty members on methods to motivate students. • Work with faculty members to organize and implement programs
to improve student achievement.• Organize faculty members to present workshops of their teaching
skills at faculty meetings or during staff development programs.
