The ‘Prime Advocates Global Social Finance Leaders Series’ is a strategic Social Finance and Impact Investment lecture programme where key industry participants are invited to meet and share ideas. Prime Advocates would like to invite you to our next event, introducing the Small Enterprise Impact Investing Fund (SEIIF), as presented by Fabio Sofia (Symbiotics), Nicholas Colloff and Alan Doran (Oxfam). This event will be hosted by International Law Firm: Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Co-founded and promoted by the City of London Corporation, managed by Symbiotics, and advised by Oxfam GB, SEIIF is an innovative financial product seeking to provide low-risk exposure to impact investments with measurable social contributions.The SEIIF (by leveraging the combined expertise of its partners) enables investors to make a real difference to the developing world by investing in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector propagating profitable enterprise development. At this event we shall have an opportunity to unravel the structure and look at the inherent benefits of the SEIIF’s composition. The Presenters: Fabio Sofia - Head of Investor Relations at Symbiotics. Fabio joined Symbiotics as its first employee and was successively investment analyst, regional manager and client relationship manager. Prior to joining Symbiotics, he worked for the Human Rights Policy section of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and for LODH & Cie, a Swiss private bank, as a project manager. Fabio holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva as well as a certificate of advanced studies in Portfolio Management from the University of Geneva. Nicholas Colloff - Oxfam’s Director of Strategy and Innovation. He is currently focused on SME financing, micro-insurance and urban programming. He is the founder of Opportunity International UK and of two micro-finance banks in Eastern Europe. Nicholas is the Chair on the Board of Oxfam’s and Symbiotic’s Small Enterprise Impact Investing Fund. Alan Doran - Oxfam’s Business and Finance Advisor. Alan who works on the Enterprise Development Programme and on strategic finance initiatives. He was previously a consultant in the private sector and focused on the economics and financing of the SME sector internationally. Alan is the vice-Chair on the Investment Committee for Oxfam’s and Symbiotic’s Small Enterprise Impact Investing Fund. As places are limited, please RSVP to [email protected] to reserve a place.
