Jess is spending the summer with Aunt Minnie and Uncle Frank. It took two days on a railroad train to get to their home. Aunt Minnie and Uncle Frank have a

squinted into the bright morning sky . Finally, he saw the spinning circle appear, as tiny as a golf ball. He held his breath as it got closer and closer. Mike leaped and stretched out his glove.

Suddenly, he felt the sting of a catch. Grinning, he ran to join his teammates.

Crickets chirped in the grass. A loud owl hooted in the trees above. A lonely coyote howled in the distance. Suddenly, the boys heard something go crashing loudly through the trees near the tent. Kevin and Brad jumped up, scrambled out of the tent, and ran for home.
