Switchgear Selection Type 2,Iq = 50 kA, IS13947• Fuse-protected motor feeders.
• Selection for normal starting conditions having startingtime upto 6 seconds. For heavy starting applications,please consult Siemens.
• At 60°C service temperature the bi-relay has to bederated. The bi-relay can be used upto the maximumcurrent setting indicated. For example - A bi-relay withsetting 32-50A, at 60°C can be used only upto 47A. Thishowever does not mean that at 60°C, the 50A settingcorresponds to 47A. It means that, the bi-relay shouldnot be set beyond 47A.
• The electronic star-delta timer type 7PU60 shouldbe used in star-delta feeders with SICOP contactors
• SDF:Switch Disconnector Fuse (earlier called fuse switch).
• Low LCC = Low Life Cycle Cost
2) The selection is valid only for complete Siemenscombinations i.e. SDF + DIN fuse + Contactor + Bi-relay+ Timer. In case the combination is changed toaccommodate another brand / rating of SDF or fuse orbirelay etc., it shall be the responsibility of the person/firm making such a change, to assure Type 2 performance.

Switchgear Selection Type 2,Iq = 50 kA, IS13947• Fuse-protected motor feeders.
• Selection for normal starting conditions having startingtime upto 6 seconds. For heavy starting applications,please consult Siemens.
• At 60°C service temperature the bi-relay has to bederated. The bi-relay can be used upto the maximumcurrent setting indicated. For example - A bi-relay withsetting 32-50A, at 60°C can be used only upto 47A. Thishowever does not mean that at 60°C, the 50A settingcorresponds to 47A. It means that, the bi-relay shouldnot be set beyond 47A.
• The electronic star-delta timer type 7PU60 shouldbe used in star-delta feeders with SICOP contactors
• SDF:Switch Disconnector Fuse (earlier called fuse switch).
• Low LCC = Low Life Cycle Cost
2) The selection is valid only for complete Siemenscombinations i.e. SDF + DIN fuse + Contactor + Bi-relay+ Timer. In case the combination is changed toaccommodate another brand / rating of SDF or fuse orbirelay etc., it shall be the responsibility of the person/firm making such a change, to assure Type 2 performance.
