researchers made a descriptive- correlational quantitative research using a self-made
survey tool “elf !fficacy of "other in Caring for Child with pecial #eeds at $ome%.The researchers utili&ed descriptive-correlational design using non-random purposive
sampling procedure' in which the participants were intently chosen based on the
appropriateness of their (nowledge. )t served as an uplifting source for the mothers. )n
other word' the more they sense difficulty' the more they feel to thin( and to pursue on
their goal in providing the special needs of the child. The researchers used a tabular
illustration to answer the specific problems in chapter *. The research result revealed a
computed score of +,earson Correlation' ./*0 .123 significant value with an
interpretation of “#o ignificant%' therefore recommending to accept the null hypothesis
of no significant difference among the scores of the two variables mentioned. The result
of the study revealed there is no relationship between the level of (nowledge and level of
adherence in caring for children with special needs at home in selected Barangay in

energy she can spare for her child. 9s for the number of married individuals there are in
the group we provided the questionaire to we saw that 376 of them were single. :here
as in educational atainment shows that 276 of them have finished high school' 76
finished college' and 176 only finished elementary. now in terms of whether or not they
understand the cause of the spcial needs it shows that they do not have enough
(nowledge. Then when loo(ing at the effect the overall weight average mean is 4.5/
which is equivalent to not at all. ;or the level of adherence by the mother in the home
management of children with special needs the overall weighted average mean 1.7
which is little. 9s for the testing of the relationship between the level of (nowledge and
level of adherence it shows that the ,earson8s value is ./* which means not
significant.
