TAKE A SELF-GUIDED TOUR OF OUR UNIVERSITY
Welch Hall houses many administrative and enrollment departments, including Admissions and Records, Outreach and School Relations, Financial Aid, Cashier’s Office, Student Financial Services, and University Advisement Center. The building also contains several labs used for computer-based instruction. Claudia Hampton Hall seats approximately 300 students, and is one of only three large lecture halls on campus. Other departments found within Welch Hall include the University Police Station, Student disAbility Resource Center, Career Center, Educational Opportunity Program, and the College of Health, Human Services and Nursing.
WELCH HALL
The Small College Complex were the first permanent buildings on the campus after the university was relocated to its current location in 1965. Soon, the Small College Complex will be replaced with a modern academic building focusing on Business and Innovation practices. Currently, SCC houses the Women’s Resource Center, Encounter to Excellence, CSI3, Passport Processing Center, Parking and Transportation, SLICE, and the College of Education (COE). COE offers one undergraduate major, along with a wide selection of credential and graduate programs.
The Loker Student Union is the social center of the university. Its facilities, programs, and services enhance the university community and contribute to the out-of-the-classroom experience. The LSU provides study spaces, leisure activities, dining options, events, and cultural experiences. LSU is the home for our affinity groups, game room, Office of Student Life, University Bookstore, Associated Students Inc., TV Lounge, and Meditation Room.
Exiting the Loker Student Union onto the East Walkway allows for a view of University Housing. CSUDH University Housing provides its residents with fully furnished apartment complexes composed of 22 separate two-story buildings and two common buildings. There are 32 one-bedroom apartments housing two students each, 72 two-bedroom apartments accommodating four students each, and 60 three-bedroom apartments housing up to six students each. Campus housing also provides students with a Resident Student Association Committee that dedicates its time to providing programs for residents and opportunities to get involved.

The Social and Behavioral Science Building is home to the College of Business Administration and Public Policy. Alongside classroom and office spaces, inside SBS is a Financial Market Trading and Business Stimulation Lab, which allows students to practice managing financial portfolios with real market data, and a Grab-N-Go convenience store. On the first floor, you can relax in the atmosphere of the Shinwa Japanese Garden.
East Academic Complex houses various classrooms and a few student services programs. Inside EAC, students can find Student Support Services (TRiO), designed to support the academic needs of 160 select undergraduate students.
The Natural Science and Mathematics (NSM) building houses the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences. This college focuses on preparing students for careers in scientific research, math/science education, or applied science fields such as medicine, dentistry, engineering, computer technology, and clinical psychology. In 2020, the university will complete construction on a new Science and Innovation building, located just south of NSM, which will set a new course for STEM education within CSUDH.
The South Academic Complex are bungalow buildings located directly south of the new Science and Innovation Building. The Athletics Department, along with several classrooms, are located in these two buildings. South of the two bungalow buildings is the California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS), a public high school focusing on STEM education.
SOUTHACADEMICCOMPLEX
The Toros are members of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) competing at the Division II level. Athletics brings excitement and tradition to the campus through ten different sports. The Gymnasium also hosts our basketball and volleyball games, and is equipped with a fitness center open to all students.

The University Library opened its South Wing in 2010. The Library provides academic support through group study rooms, computer labs, research assistance, and technology checkout center. Also located within the Library is a Cultural Arts Museum, the Toro Learning and Testing Center, and our Veterans Resource Center.
LaCorte Hall is primarily dedicated to serving students within the Arts and Humanities. Facilities include a ceramic room, painting studio, a performance hall, and a TV/music recording studio. The University Art Gallery hosts various exhibitions, including student showcases that explore different artistic styles and social movements.
Our University Theatre can hold a maximum of 485 for lectures, cultural programs, plays, concerts, and dance performances. The Edison Theatre is a smaller theatre that focuses on experimental plays and allows students the opportunity to write their own performances.
The College of Extended and International Education oversees Intersession registration, Open University, and International Education/Study Abroad. Students who wish to take spring, summer and winter courses must register through CEIE. Open University allows non-admitted students to take university courses. The university hosts approximately 150 degree seeking international students, and provides opportunities for current students to participate in cultural exchange programs in more than 15 different countries throughout the world.
The SHC offers basic medical treatment in the event of illness or injury. All currently enrolled students are eligible for basic services including physical exams, immunizations, psychological services, and family planning.
