Walking Directions from Sanford Consortium Parking Lot: The Challenge Course is a 10 minute walk from the Sanford Lot and is located in the forest approximately º mile east of Hopkins Drive in the Eucalyptus Grove Reserve at UC San Diego. This is near the Spanos Track and RIMAC field.• From the parking lot adjacent to the Sanford Consortium, head to the corner of North

Torrey Pines Road and Northpoint Driveway.• Head East across Torrey Pines Road. As you head down the hill, you will see the

Spanos Track & Field on your left.• At the bottom of the hill, you will see a sign for the Challenge Course. This is the top

of the staircase entrance to the course. You can walk down on your own but a course facilitator should be there to greet you.

Driving Directions: From Interstate 5 (SEE ARROWS ON MAP)1. Take exit 29 for Genesee Ave and turn west. Travel for .9 miles.2. Turn left onto N Torrey Pines Rd. Travel for 0.5 miles.3. Turn right onto Torrey Pines Scenic Drive4. Make an immediate right turn into first driveway. The parking lot will be on your right. Sometimes there is free parking along Torrey Pines Scenic Drive

if your program is early enough in the day.5. Parking permits can be purchased at the north end of the lot, at the bottom of the stairs.

Other Parking Options: The closest parking spaces to the challenge course are on campus in Lot P357 or in Hopkins Parking Structure. On weekdays these lots are usually full by 9am. Each is a 10 minute walk from the Challenge Course.

Weekend Parking: Currently FREE on WEEKENDS only. Weekday Parking: UCSD visitors must purchase and display a parking permit or pay a parking meter. Rates are currently $2/hour in most lots, payment with cash/card at kiosks.

Visitor permits can be purchased at kiosks near all parking locations. Parking on campus can be quite challenging depending on the time of year and various on campus events. There is NO parking at the Challenge Course site. Please read read all parking signs and the both sides of the permits carefully to understand the correct spots to park in as the spots and lots occasionally change. Parking officials are very diligent!** Please note that the parking lot adjacent to the Sanford Consortium is not affiliated with the UCSD Challenge Course, therefore if there are any attendants they are unlikely to know about our course location **

1. Follow directions to Challenge Course via North Point Lane

2. Continue on North Point Drive, which bears right and becomes Hopkins Drive.

3. Continue on Hopkins Drive through the intersection to continue straight onto Hopkins Lane.

4. Follow the traffic circle at the end of Hopkins Lane to turn around and drive North on Hopkins Lane.

5. Go straight through the intersection to continue North onto Hopkins Drive.

6. At the bend in the road where Hopkins Drive turns left and becomes North Point Drive, pull to the right side of the curb and drop

off participants by the wooden stairs and Challenge Course sandwich board sign.

Please do NOT drop participants off across the street from the course entrance as traffic moves very quickly around the turn and there is no crosswalk.
