SELF-REGISTRATION

https://tsab.virtual-college.co.uk/

Using the link above, read the

home page carefully and if you

are entitled to free e-learning,

click register.

If you already have an account

with Virtual College, please click

the login button.

If you are not entitled to free e-

learning, please click the Purchase

button (you will be redirected to

the Virtual College site).

Select your work area from the

drop-down list (additional

selection departments may

appear).

Then click on the Register button

Read the course descriptions, and

select the relevant course.

You will only be able to request

one course when registering.

Additional courses can be

requested on your learner record.

Scroll to the bottom of the page

and click on the Register button.

Enter your details and choose a

username.

The username will need to be

unique. Usually your email

address will suffice unless you

already have another learner

record elsewhere in Virtual

College systems.

Click on the box to confirm you a

not a robot, then click Register

You have now successfully

registered for your course.

Check your email for a message

with the subject “Self-registration

welcome” from

[email protected]

college.co.uk

LOGGING IN TO YOUR LEARNER RECORD

Go the the website

https://safeguardingchildren.

vc-tms.co.uk/ (you can click on

the link in the email)

Enter your username and

password and click the Login

button

If your details are correct, you

can click the Yes button, or click

No (update) to make changes

Your Dashboard has three tabs,

Active Learning where you have

courses still to complete.

Once you have completed a

course, assessment and any

evaluation, it will move to the

Completed Learning tab.

To apply for additional courses,

click on the Requested Learning

tab.

If you need to edit your email

address or change your

password, click on the Edit

Profile link.

Make any changes then scroll

down to click on the Save

button.

Additional information may be

found under Links or Resources.

Under the help and support link

is a list of frequently asked

questions including:-

Forgotten login details;

Training material does not

load ;

Training seems to be stuck;

How to print/save your

certificate;

Running the training

material on an iPad.

If your question isn’t covered,

there is a message template

after the FAQ’s for you to

contact our dedicated Support

team.

REQUESTED LEARNING

To apply for additional courses,

click on the Requested Learning

tab, then on Course Request.

Select ONE course by clicking in

the check box against the course

name, then click the Request

Course button at the bottom

The next screen provides an

overview of the course details.

Either click on Request Course to

proceed, or on Return to

Directory to select a different

course.

Enter the reason you need to do

this training, and enter 0 (number

0 not letter O) in the cost boxes.

Ignore the date, time and

duration boxes (they relate to

training events).

Then click on Submit Request

All courses are authorised on

request, and will automatically

appear on your Active Learning

Tab.

To start your course, click on the

course title

Each course has training content

which must be completed before

the Assessment is made available.

As each training activity is

completed, the orange bar will

change to green.

You do not have to complete

your training in one session, you

will be able to start where you left

off next time you log in.

When you have completed the

Assessment, remember to click

the Finish button to store the test

results in the database, then on

the link to complete the post

course evaluation.

Once you have completed the

evaluation, you will be taken back

to the course page, where you

can print your certificate

You will have a final chance to

ensure your name is correct

before printing out the certificate
