Edentity Extranet Identity Management service is the new global platform for account creation in Sanofi since Aug-2016.
SELFS is on an obsolete platform -OIM.
Edentity – SELFS replacement is part of a bigger program ‘Identity and Access Management’ to address the obsolete platform and various applications on it.
Other access management applications are also in-scope for change in the future.

● A group of individual sponsors who are committed to manage the
network accounts for the same set of External Users for which they are
mutually accountable
It’s mandatory for each External users account to be associated / linked to a Sponsor group.
In order to Sponsor an account, a user must be added to a sponsor group to become a sponsor.
Sponsor Groups are managed by ServiceNow via Active Directory Group Management and eDentity synchronization job.
