Click Sell on DealDey at the top right hand corner of the screen or go straight to merchant.dealdey.com.
Existing Merchants: Enter your registered email, password and Click LOGIN
New Merchants! Click Register Today, Fill in your email address, mobile number and password.
A Verification Code would be sent to you.
Enter the code in the verify phone number form
Click “START SELLING”
Forgot Password

Go to merchant.dealdey.com
Above the Password field, Click “Forgot password.
A Reset Password form pops up, enter your registered email and click the Reset Button.
A Change password link will be sent to you.

Setting Up: Profile and Bank Verification
**Once all the required documents have been verified and your seller profile is complete, you can upload your products or services and start selling.
Select your preferred bank “Local” or “International bank”Fill in your bank details and Save.
Fill in your full name, business name, business address, email address, mobile number, state, LGA, opening hours and business description

Uploading Deals
Click on “New Deal”.
Click on “New Service Deal” to upload Services.
Click on “New Product Deal” to upload Products.
Service Deals
Does your Deal have multiple options? e.g. A food deal with options of rice and beans or rice and spaghetti. Select the appropriate action: Yes or No
• Deal Title - give your Deal a catchy title e.g. Delicious Lunch Meal combo for 899.
Choose the Deal category your deal falls under e.g. City and Travel etc.

Select a Beginning date and End date of deal from the Calendar (Deals are featured on the site for 7 – 30 days)
Select an Expiry date from the calendar (this is the date the coupon purchased loses validity)

Click Add more to upload more images
• To upload images: click browse on the listing and Main image, select your preferred image from your desktop. • Listing image must be , the image must not exceed 302 X 234 pixels• Main image is the , the image must not exceed 670 X 414 pixels

Put yourselves in the Customer’s shoes i.e. understand your target customer.
Persuade with benefit: Highlight benefits by addressing questions such as: How is your product better than the
competitor? How can your product solve a problem for your customer?
Stimulate Your Customer’s Senses by using sensory words that appeal to any of our five senses.
Be detailed - Product descriptions should answer all the basic questions a customer would ask.

On the home bar click on resize, a ‘Resize and Skew’ dialog box pops up

Enter the horizontal value (300) and Vertical Value (234) for the Listing image
Repeat same steps for the Main / Additional images, horizontal value (760) and Vertical Value (414) and click ok

A dialog box pops up , locate the source of the file to be resized, click on the file and click ok at the bottom of the dialog box.

Improving daily success rate
• Treat every delivery as a special event.
• Always call before proceeding to ship or deliver an order. This enables you to:
Reconfirm the delivery address
Alert the customer of the arrival of the package
Reschedule delivery time if customer will be unavailable. Remember this journey will cost money and time. You do
not want to waste valuable resources.
• Be polite and professional when interacting with customers in person, on calls and in writing. This is a business
transaction. You wouldn’t act otherwise if you had to bid for a job or project.
• Request that customers open and reconfirm items and status of items if received by customer in person.
• Ensure the customer acknowledges receipt of package by signing the delivery note.
Tips for handling customers
Manage your Reputation
• Communication is key, always inform buyers about their order status.
• Ship and Deliver the product you advertise
• Ensure what you offer in the content of your Deal is what you deliver to the customer.
• Send follow up emails and encourage them to give reviews.
• Encourage customers to give feedback on receipt of their order. Send a thank you note after feedback is
given.
Manage your Inventory
To avoid overselling, set a maximum limit. Check your dashboard regularly and keep up with your metrics (sold,
redeemed, delivered, etc.)
Remember Good Customer Service is itself a Good Seller.
To ensure that we maintain good customer experience and you remain a successful merchant on
DealDey, Please ensure you adhere to the suspension stipulations. A merchant’s account can get
suspended for the following reasons:
Minimum of 10% Default in Supply
Sale of counterfeit products
Fraudulent activities
Failure to serve
Quality of service based on at least 10% customer complaints
Sale of substandard products
Suspension Policy
• Default in Supply: o All flagged deals will be unpublished and pending orders cancelled.o Merchants with 10% and above cancellations will be investigated and suspended accordingly.
• Sale of counterfeit products: Claims will be investigated and merchant will be warned or blacklisted accordingly.
• Fraudulent Activities: Merchant will be investigated and blacklisted accordingly.• Failure to serve: Merchant will be investigated and blacklisted accordingly.• Poor quality of service: Merchant will be blacklisted based on a 10% complaint rate and warned if lower
than 10%.• Sale of substandard products:
o First time merchants: merchant gets a warning.o Second default: merchant will be blacklisted.
GETTING RE-INSTATED
To get reinstated on the DealDey platform after suspension, merchant needs to sign a document of commitment
Blacklisted merchants cannot get reinstated

Suspension Policy
• Orders not updated as delivered within 14 days are flagged for cancellation and cancellation will be effected 24 hours.
• All flagged deals will be unpublished and pending orders cancelled within 24 hours.• To manage all delayed orders, a filter has been created to help view all orders that have been Flagged for
cancellations.
