Savings Bank Of Walpole Presents Monadnock Understands Childhood Hunger With Fundraiser Proceeds

Aloha’s Valentine Offerings

The Savings Bank of Walpole’s annual Douglas Cuddle Toy Good Friends fundraiser totalled $29,500 with proceeds going to the Monadnock Understands Childhood Hunger (MUCH) program. During the months of November and December, all of the bank’s locations sold the plush animals (donated from Douglas Cuddle Toys of Keene) for $10 each.

D u r i n g C o r i n n e Pierce’s class, Friday February 11th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., she will of-fer a Heart Chakra Flow. Through postures that encourage an opening of the Heart Chakra, she will create space for compas-sion towards attendees’ bodies and minds. The intention of this all-lev-els class is to welcome positive energy into their hearts that they may then share with the world. Af-ter class, treats intended to stimulate the heart chakra will be offered: herbal tea and vegan chocolate bliss balls, as well as time to chat and connect. Attendees may use a package or pay $16.

February 14th through 19th, Aloha will welcome newcomers to any class for free. Spaces should be reserved in advance.

Year Of The Tiger: Qigong Event Set For Saturday, February 12th

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Pamela Bys of Five Element Acu-puncture will be leading a Year of the Tiger: Qigong event at Aloha Keene on Saturday, February 12th from 10 a.m. to noon.

Qigong originated by observing nature and mirroring movements. This event involves folklore, playful move-ment like a tiger, and building strength,

agility, and power. Included is an au-ricular treatment to support relaxation and celebrated with tea.

Bys is a certified Qigong practitioner and master acupuncturist who has had success in treating many ailments in people of all ages.
