Lift splits scanner, virtual journal and pole display signals tounderstand what is going into shoppers basket Touch screens send UPCs to POS via existing scan port Caches advertising information on the CPU Calls home every 5 minutes to check for new advertising andupload statistics In the Cloud Retailer specific advertising programs are configured by Liftservices desk Analytics crunch data to determine item/ad pairings Self service portal to be release Q2/Q3 Installation Installation requirements
Supported POS w/ supported configuration One RJ45 Ethernet network port per Lift Stationwithout outbound internet connectivity.Lift must beable to call home to the cloud If using the store LAN, IP address information must beobtained from the retailers network administrator Static IP address vs dynamic IP address? Outbound firewall rules.Outbound access for ports 443(HTTPS) and 2299 (SSH) Power. Each Lift Station needs two standard 110Vpower outlets Installation Considerations
Monitors must be configured so that they are in the cashier-to- shopper line of sight.Shopper should see display when lookingat cashier and vice versa. On many POS systems, the Lift shopper display replaces the2x20 green screen receipt display with a multi-line scrollingreceipt. Currently single pole mounting option with drilled in grommetmount or free standing base. More mounting options comingsoon. Cables are run through the pole under the counter to the CPU. CPU is small and fanless.Should be placed where wont getkicked around but clutter like bags is not a problem.Withoutextra cables 6 is max distance from displays to CPU. LIFT Installed LIFT Installed Installation Procedure
Identify screen mounting location, and location whereCPU will reside under counter.Verify maximum cabledistance. Generally something on the counter/cash wrap willhave to be moved over to make room for Lift. Locate power and network connections. Consider cable runs and any needs to drill into thecounter. Mount pole and monitors w/ cables running throughpole. Connect all connectors/splitters to POS Connect all monitor, USB and serial cables to CPU.
Connect USB mouse and keyboard to CPU Power up CPU Calibrate touch screens Rotate shopper display orientation Configure and verify network connectivity Call Lift Help Desk to activate player software Verify POS integration points (ie: work the system) Unplug keyboard and mouse Secure CPU in final position. POS w/ RS232 (not USB) scanner Used to detect UPCs and inject scans when upsell buttonsare pressed on the Lift Station Virtual journal enabled Needed to detect keyed products, cashier, and transactionstart/end Good use of mix/match in price book Without mix/match cashiers and customers cant touch-to- scan most promos.System will technically work but theupsell results are hard to measure Officially Supported Systems
VeriFone Ruby/Sapphire, Topaz Radiant RPOS Gilbarco Passport Wayne Nucleus Retalix Some qualifications around hardware. Requires TCP-Direct (Retalixs virtual journal module)software module. Pinnacle TBD Custom on request VeriFone Specific Integration
We do not claim support for Ruby without Sapphire. Need Sapphire caliber mix/match and virtual journal Ruby/Sapphire is supported but the virtual journalruns one item behind the current transaction and wecant split the pole display signal. That means wedont offer the scrolling receipt display on the shopperdisplay to replace the 2x20 green screen receiptdisplay Topaz with split virtual journal (network or serial) andtapped pole display feed supports all Liftfunctionality THANK YOU
