Wed 11 – Sat 14 June, May BumpsCome and support Selwyn rowers at the exciting end of season races. Spectators are welcome along the banks of the river.

If any anniversary crews would like to come back (2004, 1994, 1984 etc...) they would be very welcome.

Monday 3 February

Dinner at the Keeper’s HouseRecently restored by Rolfe Kentish (1973), the Keeper’s House at the Royal Academy provides delightful surroundings in which to meet the new Master. Canon Lucy Winkett (1987), RA Chaplain, will say Grace.

Time: 7.00 for 7.30pm. Cost: £80 per head.

Saturday 22 February

Selwyn College Choir Perform St John’s PassionEnjoy the Chapel Choir in a performance of one of the great masterpieces of all time, J S Bach’s Johannespassion. The choir will be joined by members of the Academia Musica, a selection of exciting young soloists and members of the Cambridge University Baroque Ensemble.

1882 Society LunchMembers of the 1882 Society and their guests are invited to lunch at Selwyn.

1964 and 1974 ReunionsCome and celebrate 50 and 40 years since matriculation with dinner in Hall and other events over the weekend. Guests welcome. Accommodation is available in College.

Ramsay Murray Lecture This year’s lecture will be given by Professor John Deathridge, Emeritus King Edward Professor of Music at King’s College London.

Friends of the Choir EvensongAll Friends of the Choir and their guests are invited to come and sing with the Choir at Choral Evensong and enjoy supper with them afterwards.

Visit to Calmsden Farms, nr Cirencester, GloucestershireEnjoy a family day out in the countryside at an award-winning conservation grade farm. Mark Tuffnell (1983) will lead a walk around his farm, the first in the UK to receive an award for barn owl conservation. A buffet lunch is included.

Selwyn Boat Club DinnerFor all those that rowed at Selwyn, come and celebrate the end of the May Bumps with the current crews.

Varsity Cricket MatchJoin us to watch the 170th match whilst enjoying lunch.

Commemoration of BenefactorsAll those who matriculated in 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999 or who came up prior to and including 1960 are invited to Evensong, followed by a black tie dinner. Accommodation will be available in College.

Saturday 5 July

Selwyn Garden PartyIf you haven’t had chance to meet the new Master yet, come and say hello at an informal gathering in the beautiful College gardens. Afternoon tea will be served and there will be activities for all the family. All alumni are invited, along with 1 guest and up to 4 children.

Time: 3.00pm-5.00pm.

Saturday 20 September

1984 and 1994 ReunionsCome and celebrate 30 and 20 years since matriculation with dinner in Hall and other events over the weekend. Guests welcome. Accommodation is available in College.

Friday 26 September

Graduate Reunion DinnerGraduate students past and present are invited to return to Selwyn to catch-up and share their experiences at a dinner.

Saturday 27 September

Alumni Day, incorporating the Alumni ForumAll alumni and guests are welcome to attend. There will be lectures and other events during the day and the Selwyn Alumni Association Annual Dinner will take place in the evening. Those who came up in 2004 are particularly encouraged to attend to celebrate 10 years since matriculation.

At the Alumni Forum all Year Group Representatives and Association Committee members are invited to meet and discuss alumni issues.

Accommodation is available in College.

Sunday 5 October

Visit to Fleet Air Arm Museum, SomersetJoin us for the day at Europe’s largest naval aviation museum. We will have a guided tour, followed by lunch. Graham Mottram (1967) will then talk about his work as the museum’s director.

Saturday 11 October

Old Boys and Girls Sports DayAll alumni are invited to come and play against the current Selwyn teams. Spectators are also welcome! A formal dinner in Hall will round off the day. Organised jointly by the Hermes and Sirens Clubs.

Tuesday 28 October

Dinner to mark Professor John Spencer’s retirementAll of John’s students and tutees are invited to celebrate his many years of teaching in the magnificent surroundings of the Old Hall, Lincoln’s Inn.

Time: 7.00 for 7.30pm.

Sunday 2 November

War RequiemTo mark the centenary of World War 1, Roger Williams (1959) will perform Wilfred Owen/Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem accompanied by the Choir in Selwyn Chapel.

Tuesday 11 November

Selwyn London Group Annual LectureSelwyn Fellow, Professor John Morrill will explore the uniting of the United Kingdom and its future. Drinks will be served beforehand and a dinner afterward will celebrate John’s retirement.

Where: Oxford and Cambridge Club, London. Time: 6.00pm.

Tuesday 9 December

Christmas Carol Service, LondonSelwyn College Choir and the Dean of Chapel will lead a traditional carol service in the historic setting of St Botolph without Aldgate followed by seasonal refreshments. Families and guests welcome.

Thursday 11 December

Varsity Match, TwickenhamEnjoy lunch before cheering on the light blues in the company of other Selwyn alumni. Guests welcome.

Time: Lunch: 12.15pm, KO: 2.00pm.
