Due to IVANS’ changes, Transfer Manager .Net must replace the older Transfer Manager. SIS has prepared the following instructions for your use in updating you SEMCI Partner system. If you have questions, please contact SIS at 800.747.7005. There are several options to assist you in this process.

Summary Overview Use this summary method if you already have experience with TM.Net and SEMCI Partner.

The complete detailed installation and setup procedure begins on the next page. • Get the file called TMNetDIY.zip from SIS. • Expand TMNetDIY.zip and you will get a folder called TMNet. • Place the TMNet folder in the root of the SIS folder—or whatever folder contains the Partner

folder if there is no SIS folder. • From the TMNet folder, copy the folders called Sorter & TMRecv to the Partner folder. • On the provided worksheet, p.3 below, and complete the IVANS information Account, User

ID & Password. You may detach the worksheet for convenience. • Download a copy of the TM.Net installer and place to the TMNet folder. Get it from IVANS

(or if you’re at SIS use I:\Service\External\TMNet-DIY\TMNet install files\ IVANSTMNET3.3.2.0.exe).

• On the worksheet (P.3), list all companies that download where the Downloading box is checked, then for each of those companies, list their

a. 4-character company code (on Co. Administrator’s, General tab just above the Action button…CSET1234),

b. Sender’s IVANS “Account” (log onto the IVANS ECS mailbox web page—it’s the 1st set of characters before the dot in the Send Mailbox column)

• Edit the Company administrator as follows: c. UN-check the Downloading box d. Check the FTP Download box e. Change the Account to its 4-character company code f. Change the Message Class field to the Sender’s IVANS “Account”

• Uninstall the old Transfer Manager, then • Install TM.Net from inside the TMNet folder. • Run ?:\sis\partner\Settm.exe to reflect the new Transman.exe location (which is now in

?:\sis\TMNet) • Open, add 2 mailboxes (screenshots on P. 12) and check/correct TM.Net settings like Receive

location. • Copy the SISBatch folder from the TMNet folder to the download PC’s c: drive and create a

desktop shortcut to it. • Edit to correct the 3 (X:\...) paths in c:\sisbatch\step1.bat. • Automate SISBatch step1 to occur 15 minutes prior to SEMCI Partner’s scheduled download

using Timetable.

How to setup and install TM.Net Use this fully detailed method if you don’t have prior TM.Net and SEMCI Partner experience

Download to prep your system • Before beginning to install TMNet, you must run 2 consecutive successful downloads. • If your last download ran properly, a code 00000 will show for the last download

(Communications/History). • Then run 1 more download. • If there are errors they must be fixed before continuing.

Prepare Files and Folders to Install TM.Net • Work from the download computer. • Get the SIS provided TMNetDIY.zip file. (I:\Service\External\TMNet-DIY\). • Complete the Executing Path at the top of the worksheet on the next page as follows:

i) Open SEMCI Partner, ii) Use the top row’s Help drop-down, iii) Select ABOUT SEMCI PARTNER and iv) Click the Information button; the Executing Path is shown at the top. v) Close the dialog box and close SEMCI Partner.

• Unzip TMNetDIY.zip to the SIS* folder—or whatever folder contains the Partner folder. You should end up with ?:\SIS\TMNet. a) If you don’t know how to unzip TMNetDIY.zip, right-click on the zip file, select Extract all or

use any unzip program and browse to SIS (or Partner’s parent folder—the same folder that Partner is in), and extract there.

b) If you still cannot unzip TMNetDIY.zip, download 7-Zip from http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

c) Install 7-Zip, right click on the zip file, select Extract files, Browse (using the ellipsis) to the SIS folder or the folder that contains Partner (see the Executing Path on the worksheet on the next page) and OK.

• Delete TMNetDIY.zip after verifying that you now have ?:\SIS\TMNet. • Get the TM.NET installer (IVANSTMNET3.4.0.0.exe) from SIS or download it from IVANS into

that ?:\SIS\TMNet folder as follows: a) Find the TM.net program here: http://www.ivans.com/marketing/popup/tm.net.aspx b) Select the link: .Net Version 3.4.0.0 c) Download it to ?:\SIS\TMNet

• Open the ?:\SIS\TMNet folder and • Find the subfolder called ToPartner and open it • Copy its contents into the ?:\sis\Partner folder

• Now you’re ready to create a reference worksheet that you’ll need.

APPENDIX TM.NET Errors

If you get any RAS errors it means that TM.Net is looking for modem settings. There probably is still a company checked for Downloading in Company Administrator on the Download tab

Path not found error when Partner tries a Communications/ Transmit/ Download… or Upload…. Partner must be assigned a path to the TM folder even though it does not need it. To fix this, run ?:\sis\partner\Settm.exe. Change the Transfer Manager Location field to a valid folder where TM is installed, such as ?:\sis\tmnet.
