Students are able to read Nursing Profession, Wheelchair, Bad
handwriting, Surprise passenger, Pain, Mystery syndromes, Old age and
the brain, Eat yourself to death, Blood Pattern analysis, The hope children
hospice, Ask the nurse bacteria, Schizophrenia- the facts, General
Anesthetics procedure, patient medication, two healer
M3 Students are able to listen the conversation in an admission, a job
interview, direction, the porter’s office, a patient record, instructions,
pain chart, pain relief, symptom a helpline call, a care home, assessing a
patient, a diabetic patient, an eating disorder, blood types, blood test, report
of death, a hygiene report test results, a case conference, a coma patient, a
scan, patient medication, qigong.

Students are able to mention vocabularies dealing with verbs for describing
jobs, hospital departments, the admission procedure, patient record, first
aid, describing pain, problem and aids, diabetes, testing blood, talking
dying, hygiene equipment, mental illness, describing readings, types and
forms of medication, types of therapy.

Students are able to write profile of students nurse, giving direction via
email, patient summary, information poster, pain report, symptom report,
letter of introduction to a care home, advice to a friend via email,
describing blood cells, death certificate, notice, email job application,
describing a procedure, writing up an experiment.
Students are able to speak (make dialogue) dealing with talking
personally, on the ward, admitting a patient, emergency helpline, filling in
a pain chart, asking questions on a helpline, transfer to a care home,
calculating BMI, blood in history, making difficult decisions, preparing a
body for relatives, euthanasia, a hygiene, inspection, a patient’s life history,
vital signs, anesthetic, procedure, patient medication, two healer.

present, simple present continuous, preposition of place and movement,
Simple past & past continuous, instructions, making comparison, question
forms, will, should, shouldn’t, zero and first conditional, expressing

to & present continuous for future, giving reason

By the end of this semester, the learners understand and can use booth receptive and
productive English skill in communication. Furthermore after attending this course,
the learners can apply the correct use of basic English structure, vocabulary,
pronunciation, stress and intonation patterns in oral communication though intensive
classroom practice such as dialogues and role playing, listening as well as pair, group
and class activities.
