1. Do I need to register? Yes, please register online at suburbanorthodox.org/event/scp 2. I’d like to participate, what are the commitment requirements? When signing up, you are committing to complete one zman/semester. The first zman will run every Monday from 10/19-3/15. There are a limited number of spots available; please verify your ability to commit to the full semester before registering. 3. What will the chaburah be studying? Each zman will cover a different topic. The first zman will cover hilchos muktza. 4. What happens at the conclusion of each semester? Upon completion of each topic, there will be a written exam, and all who pass will receive a certificate signed by Rav Shmuel Silber, Rav Hershel Schachter, and Rav Shlomo Amar. 5. How can I prepare for the exam? A written review will be sent out following each class. 6. What if I have to miss a class? If circumstances arise and you will not be able to attend a particular week, recordings will be available upon request from the shul office. 7. Can I join the class via Zoom? The goal of the Semichas Chaver Program is to form a chevra bound by a common pursuit of growth in learning. This “in-person” piece is an integral part of the design of the program.
