CHART OF COURSE

In the best interest of the organization, the Penobscot Bay YMCA reserves the right to sell boats at the full established Estimated Market Value price up to 14 days before the auction. If your bid secures the purchase of any item, the Y Staff in the sales area will assist you in the completion of your purchase.

You may pay for your boat, motor, etc. in one of the following ways: • Visa or Mastercard • Cash • Check: All checks are subject to clearance from your bank. If you wish to pay the entire purchase price by check, we will be glad to allow you to remove the purchase from the Auction Yard, as soon as the check clears your bank.

If you do not take any item you have purchased with you, you may pick up the items at a later date during the Y’s operating hours: Monday through Saturday 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Please call the Y to set up an appointment, 236-3375.

• To pick up merchandise, please present your paid receipt to Y Staff on duty. • The Y will not be responsible for any boats or items left auction property. • Items left after 14 days from the date of the auction will be treated as abandoned property and forfeited to the Y.

If you have made auction purchases, you must pay the amount in full before you leave the day of the auction. Please see one of the Boat Auction Committee members or Y Staff, if you need to make arrangements to pay for your purchase.

NO REFUNDS •••• ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

All boats and merchandise available for auction have been donated, as is, to the Y. The Y has limited knowledge of the condition of the boats, etc. and has shared that information with the bidders. The Y is not able to accept any responsibility for the condition of the items sold.

NAVIGATION RULES CONDITIONS OF SALE

This is an Absolute Auction. All items will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of price with the exception that the Auctioneer has the right to “pass” or remove from the auction block any item that does not attract an opening bid that is commensurate with its value.

In the event of a disputed bid, the auctioneer shall determine the winner of any item. This may include, but not limited to reopening the bidding if necessary.

The Y reserves the right to sell a boat or item, before or after the day of the auction if, at the sole discretion of the Y, making such a sale would benefit the Y.

There are no Boats/Equipment/Items at this Auction “On Consignment.” All items have been donated to the Y and are up for competitive bidding and none is from other sources.

BIDDER’S NOTICE When the Y has been informed or discovers relevant information about a boat or an engine, we will share that information. But we do not guarantee the condition or the accuracy of information reported about any boat or item.

All appraisals are today’s Estimated Market Values for this Auction. These prices are only guidelines; however, they tend to be lower than average for similar boats being offered elsewhere at this time.

All items on this Inventory List will be offered for bid today, unless otherwise noted on the list or announced by the Auctioneer. If no one bids on a particular item, the item will be retired from the Auction and sold privately outside this Auction. Some items have Reserve (minimum) Prices. If these minimums are not met, the Y reserves the right to retire the boat/items from the Auction and to sell it privately outside the Auction.

We ask that people not intending to bid, step back from the front row so that those who are bidding can see and hear the Auctioneer, and so that we may also hear and see those trying to bid. The Auctioneer can only recognize bidders that he can see. Please interrupt the Auctioneer at any time with your questions or requests for clarification. We want you to enjoy yourselves and buy a boat.

ABSENTEE BIDS OR PRE-AUCTION Absentee Bids are encouraged. These bids, are recorded and will be presented by the Auctioneer, who, during the auction process will clearly point to himself as a participating Absentee Bidder…calling aloud that participating Absentee Bid.

POST-AUCTION PURCHASES OF ITEMS Sealed bids can be submitted for any boats that remain unsold at the conclusion of the live auction. The Boat Auction Committee will consider sealed bids the week after the auction and if accepted the bidder will be notified.

In the case of multiple bidders with the same price on the same item, bidders will be asked to submit another bid in writing, on a form provided by the Y, by a determined time. The highest bid will be accepted. LASTLY…..BID HIGH AND BID OFTEN!

OUR CURRENT FLEET

SOLING SLOOP 27’ “FOLLEROO” EMV: $1,900 This fiberglass fin keel sloop has serviceable rigging and tiller steering. There are main and spinnaker sails, the jib sail is missing. This is

an international class pedigree racing boat designed for any wind and sea conditions.

1975 CATALINA 22’ “SANUK” EMV: $1,500

This small centerboard fiberglass sailboat has serviceable standing rigging. It has tiller steering. Sails include a main, working jib, and

genoa. The rudder needs servicing. There is a Mariner 9.9hp gas outboard engine. Also, it comes with a 1975 trailer in good condition.

1969 ALLIED GREENWICH 24’ “FINEST KIND” EMV: $3,000 This fiberglass full keel sloop has main and working jib sails. A wonderful weekend cruiser. There is no motor.

SPORTS PAL CANOE 14’ EMV: $600 A square stern ultra-light canoe made from aircraft aluminum with rubber side fenders. Whether paddling across a lake or blazing down

the river, this canoe is sure to be an enjoyable time on the water.

1999 BISCAYNE BAY 17’ “MINERVA” EMV: $1,000

This sailing skiff has a wood centerboard sloop with standard rigging in good condition. The main and working jib sails are

made by Maine Sailing Partners in 1999. There is a 1994 Lil’ Rider trailer in good condition.

FISCHER PANDA MARINE GENERATOR EMV: $11,500 Kubota diesel engine, Fischer Panda generator PMS 12 mini, S/N C04-020-046, 60hz, 11 kw120/240v. The full cowling is intact. It was in running order when it was removed.

CATALINA SAN JUAN 24’ “YESAH” EMV: $500

This fiberglass Catalina sailboat has a fin keel and sloop rig configuration. Sails include main, stays’l, working jib and spinnaker. The San

Juan is a fantastic sailing boat with a classic look.

1970’S SUNFISH ALCORT 13’ EMV: $600 This fiberglass Sunfish has a dagger board keel with all original sails and rigging. It is personal size sailboat meant to be beach launched.

2005 HAVEN 12’ “SERENADE” EMV: $700 This boat made of wood and fiberglass comes with main sails and a working jib made by Pope sails, approx. 13

years old. The homemade trailer was built in 2005.

1940 BEETLE CAT BOAT 12’ EMV: $1,000 Versatile and agile, this wood/fiberglass Beetle Cat centerboard has tiller steering and an excellent hull design with lots of room. It has serviceable standing rigging

and a main sail. It sits on a 2005 Bandit Loadrite trailer.

1975 O’DAY MARINER 19’ “TARTARIAN” EMV: $1,500 This1975 fiberglass sailboat has a sloop configuration. The standing rigging is original and serviceable. There are main, working jib and spinnaker sails about two

years old. It sits on a 1990 Cox trailer.

2000 NUTSHELL PRAM 8’ EMV: $600 This boat is an excellent tender, it tows exceptionally well and holds a surprising amount of gear and passengers. Comes complete with the oars.

1981 J-36 “GJOA” EMV: $15,000 This well maintained fiberglass fin keel sailboat has a sloop rig configuration. The standing rigging is in good condition. Main sail working jib and gennaker sails are made by North Sails Maine approximately

5 years old. The1992 Yanmar 24hp engine was last serviced in 2017.

1975 ALLIED GREENWICH 24’ “ALOHA” EMV: $3,000 This Allied fiberglass sailboat was built in 1975, has a full keel and sloop rig configuration. The standing rigging is serviceable. It comes with a

2009 Nissan outboard 6hp gas engine last serviced 2 years ago.

2005 ZODIAC CADET 9’ EMV: $600 This 4 person inflatable dinghy is compact and easy to stow in a cockpit locker. The hull is made of Hypalon rubber. The maximum weight capacity is

820 lb. and maximum outboard is 8hp.

BOMBARD RIB 8’ “TEMPEST” EMV: $600 This inflatable design is stable, light, fast and seaworthy. This boat combines performance

and handling only weighing about 80lbs. It was only used for one season.

PHOENIX KAYAK 16’ EMV: $500 Custom built fiberglass single seat kayak. This kayak glides beautifully and easy to paddle. Highly recommended for beginner as well as those with a

desire to advance their skills.

RUNABOUT 12’ EMV: $900 This little 12’ runabout has a aluminum hull painted red. The 2018 Venture trailer is in great condition.

PERCEPTION DANCER KAYAK EMV: $500 Perception Dancer is perfect for going up creeks or paddling around on a summer day because it is plastic and easy to handle.

1982 MACGREGOR 22’ EMV: $1,200 The MacGregor is a small fiberglass with wood trim is recreational centerboard. It has a functional sloop masthead sloop rig. Comes main,

genoa and working jib sails as well as original cushions. It sits on a trailer that is in okay condition.

RIVER RUNNER KAYAK 13’ EMV: $500 This versatile entry-level river running kayak is equally at home on flat water. A good choice for an all-around kayak on lakes and rivers, it is very stable and can

accommodate up to 250 lbs. The 13’ 9” length provides improved hull speed, making the River Runner a good choice when you have a greater distance to cover.

SUNFISH EMV: $500 This Sunfish sailboat is complete with the mast, sail, daggerboard and rudder. This is a personal size, beach launched sailing dinghy utilizing a very flat, board like hull carrying a lateen sail

mounted to an un-stayed mast.

1986 CARVER SANTA CRUZ 26’ “PUT-PUT” EMV: $2500 The Carver is a fast cabin cruiser with a fly bridge and an inboard/outboard 256hp engine. Since 2012, there have been major replacements including: shift

cables, lower unit, hot water system, start and more! The 350 ci V-8 needs a new exhaust manifold (according to the resident mechanic).

1958 CHRIS CRAFT SPORTSMAN 17’ “SUMMERS” EMV: $TBD

This Chris Craft is simply gorgeous and sits on a fresh-water 1983 Holsclaw trailer in excellent

condition. The boat was totally restored around 2000 including its original engine. In 2015, the wood was refinished. The upholstery is in perfect condition. The deck is sound and as attractive as is the hull. The original Chris Craft 130hp engine needs to be rebuilt due to overheating last summer.

Windsurfing straddles both the laid-back culture of surf sports and the more rules-based environment of sailing.

Windsurfers can perform jumps, inverted loops, spinning maneuvers, and other "freestyle" moves that cannot be matched by any sailboat. Comes complete with mast and sail.

WILDERNESS TSUNAMI KAYAK 14’ EMV: $1250

The Wilderness Tsunami 140 kayak inspires performance and exploration with modern deck lines, while a focus on improving the

paddler’s experience. There is an under-deck storage area.

1971 O’DAY WIDGEON 12’ EMV: $400

This Widgeon is a great opportunity to own a classic day sailor boat design. She is a per-fect entry level boat for young sailors, as well

as their parents. Equipment includes sails & rudder. Sits on a Tee Nee trailer.
