The bed bugs have affected the social lives of the oldies in a seniorhousing complex in Newmarket. The housing manager discouraged residents on visiting other apartments andeven suspended cards games and birthday gatherings in the complex.

The bed bug dilemma was first reported on May and the residents said that the manager has been responsive ontaking measures to kill bed bugs. However, they are complaining about the continuous persistence of the creepycrawlers in the complex.

Bed bugs are making the lives of the seniors miserable that even their enjoyment was being hindered. They arelooking forward to the days when all the creepy crawlers are eliminated.

NEWMARKET, N.H.—Residents of a Newmarket senior housing complex say bedbugs continue to be aproblem nearly six months after they were first reported.

Bedbugs were reported ate Newmarket House in May, and residents said the property manager has beenresponsive, but the problem has persisted.

Residents tell WMUR-TV ( http://bit.ly/p5S8ek) that Eastpoint Properties has been working withexterminators, but as recently as Monday, live bedbugs were found in a trap in the building.

The town health inspector said there were no indications of any live bedbugs in the building for a two-weekperiod before the bugs were found Monday.
