The three‐year project will engage students ininvestigating the mechanisms in neural stem cells that can lead to
neurological pathologies.

Stockton Offers Urban Teacher Academy to High
School Students
Essential Learning Outcomes (ELO) Update
• Second pilot in Fall 2015 included 8 major and minor programs, involving 52 faculty members, and students in 70 courses.
• 82% of faculty and professional staff who took the spring 2016 ELO survey have elected to incorporate ELOs into their courses and learning experiences in one way or another.

Essential Learning Outcomes (ELO) Update (cont.)
• Second ELO Summer Institute held in Summer 2016 focusing on teaching ELOs. Academic Affairs administrators, and Student Affairs administrators/professional staff presented on ELO accomplishments in their courses and units.
• 2016‐17 Faculty Fellows: Shelly Meyers (EDUC) for Creativity & Innovation and Kerri Sowers (HLTH) for Ethical Reasoning.
Reimagining the First Year Experience
• Stockton is one of 44 institutions nationwide in this AASCU initiative.
• Over 150 faculty and staff met last spring and early summer to identify questions and priorities.
• Civic engagement is one priority exemplified by our new Bonner Leader Program in the Office of Service Learning
