Knights of Columbus of St. Basil 13271 the Great Council is having their annual Intellectual Disabilities Drive on September 12 and September 13 at the end of every mass. The Knights will be present in bright yellow aprons collecting money in the yellow cans for donations. The purpose of the drive is to raise money and bring awareness for Supporting People with Intellectual Disabilities. Last year the Knights donated the money to the Special Olympics and Feed the Athlete. The Knights asked this faithful community to support their worthy cause. Also a GoFundMe page has been setup to help the fundraiser. Please visit https://www.gofundme.com/f/virtual-id-drive and do-nate. The Knights also ask for your help by sharing the link. A link will also be posted on St. Basil’s Facebook page. Please give generously. It Is Always Better To Give Than To Receive. The Knights would like to invite the Men of this parish to join their council and be a part of their brotherhood. Thank you for your support
Join us on Monday, September 21st at 8pm on YouTube for Parent Support. As the start of a new school year is upon us that is not what we or our children expected we need to support them in their own self-care, while model-ing those behaviors ourselves. This parent support evening will give parents tips and practical ideas for self-care that supports the mental health of our young people. Our speaker will be Maricruz Flores, the Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of San Diego. For more information go to www.scd.org/parentsupport
