Homework• All students are expected to read 20 minutes each night. Reading may be done independently, aloud to an adult, or a shared reading with an adult.

• Students are also expected to study their basic addition and subtraction facts (0-10) for 10 minutes each night. You can find resources for practicing basic facts on the First Grade page from the Wyngate website.

• Also, students are expected to practice ½ to full page of handwriting each night (approx. 5 minutes). We are providing a handwriting packet that illustrates proper form of each letter. The packet will change after the first semester to include practicing writing words and numbers.
