ATLANTA   AUDUBON SOCIETY Box 29189  Atlanta, GA 30359  www.atlantaaudubon.org  AAS OFFICE and Information Line 770.913.0511 GOS RARE BIRD ALERT 770.493.8862 September 2006 Volume XXXII, Issue 9 ATLANTA AUDUBON SOCIETY Saturday , September 16 is the date for one of the most popular events of the Atlanta Audubon calendar: the annual  Atlanta Audubon  Wildlife Sanctuary Tour. This year’s event will feature three private gardens in Decatur and the gardens at Georgia Perimeter College. Each property on our tour has been reclaimed from kudzu, ivy or privet, which you can still see beyond the fences, and each is the sum total of many hours of a labor by hard-working individuals to create places where the wildlife and birds of Georgia are safe and well  provided for. Tickets for the tour are $12 in advance, $15 the day of tour for non-members and $12 the day of the tour for Atlanta Audubon Society members. Anyone joining Atlanta Audubon for $25 on the day of the tour at any site will get a ticket for all four gardens. Children under 12  years of age are free.  See insert for complete details. We encourage you to sell your work and to set the price appropriately, knowing that 25 percent goes to the church, 25  percent to AAS, and 50 percent to you.
