It is hard to believe that we are wrapping up the final few weeks of the summer months.
The Pool and Gazebo will be open all of Labor Day Weekend with the last day to enjoy the
Pool being Monday, September 3rd. When the Pool is closed after Labor Day, those of
you who would like to continue to work on your tans are welcome to come out and
continue sunning pool side. Just a reminder, there will be no swimming allowed, as there
will be no guards at the Pool.
As we enter into the fall months, and the children return to school, I want to remind our Full
Golf and Social/Swim/Tennis Members that as part of your membership privileges, you
have access to Athletic Republic (4211 Green Bay Road) in Kenosha. In addition, we have
partnered with UW-Parkside for our Full Golf and Social/Swim/Tennis Members to utilize their
facilities. Specifically, the Health and Wellness Center, Field House and the Strength and
Conditioning Center. This is a great partnership that allows our members access to these
state of the art facilities.
In addition to preparing for the cooler fall months, the Staff and I are busy planning future
events for the members. A new event happening this month is the “Men’s Night Out” on
Wednesday, September 12th. This event will be held on the Patio (weather permitting)
and features a three-course Filet Mignon Dinner and a selection of several great cigars.
We currently have only six openings left for this event, so please call the Clubhouse to
make your reservation.
“Prime Steaks every day at KCC”. The demand for the Allen Brothers Prime graded Filet
Mignon has been over whelming, that because of the demand we have added these to
the Dinner Menu.
It never ceases to amaze me the great local history in Kenosha Country Club’s past.
Recently, we were doing some fall cleaning in the old caddy shack in the north parking lot
and came across a great piece of club history – the 1924 Kenosha Country Club Year
Book. On page three are the following directions and phone number:
We have also added this year book to the history portion of our website. You may view
the full document by clicking here or visiting www.kenoshacountryclub.com/club-history.
Great fall golf and plenty of member events await you in the coming months. Hope to see
you soon at your Club.
The Management and Staff of Kenosha Country Club are committed to continuous
improvement and member satisfaction.

With the autumn air soon arriving and two-thirds of the
2018 Golf Season behind us, membership recruitment still
remains a focus. Inquiries for membership has remained
active - which is great news. We look to add new
members this fall, and with your help, we will see new
families joining KCC.
For those prospective members that you know who may
be interested in membership, please feel welcome to invite
them to enjoy your Club as a “Member for a Day”. Just
call me for details and I’ll be happy to make the
arrangements. I can explain the outstanding fall incentives
we have available this time of year. The course is in
wonderful condition and with the changing colors of the
leaves coming soon, now is a great time to invite your
prospects to come see the wonders of KCC.
We have recently welcomed a few new members to the
Club this past month. Please join me in welcoming:
Ryan & Dr. Carrie Beaty
Tim Garland & Elizabeth Ruby
Tom & Deb Heller
John Proko
Mary Perrine
As I mentioned last month, it’s not too early to begin
planning your holiday festivities. Now is a great time to
begin determining dates and checking availability of the
Grandview Ballroom, the Ross Veranda, and the Grille
Room for your special holiday event. Please do not wait
too long to begin planning. It is hard to believe, but the
holiday season will be upon us soon, but before we get
there, be sure to enjoy as much golf and tennis as you can!

The book selection for the October 24th
meeting is “The Warmth of Other Suns” by Isabel
Wilkerson.
Naturally, all members are welcome to join us!

Tennis Professional Is it September already? I must say this was the fastest
summer of tennis at KCC that I have ever experienced!
However, even though it was a fast summer that didn’t
stop a fun summer of tennis. The growth of the younger
players is great!
Please sign-up at the Tennis Shop or the Clubhouse for the
end of the year Tennis Awards Banquet on Sunday,
September 9th. This event begins with a meet and greet
at 5:30pm, with dinner and awards to follow. There will be
a trophies and prizes for all the players who participated in
the tennis classes this summer.
If you would like to see some socials or events added to
the Tennis or Pickleball schedule for 2019, please feel free
to contact me. Thanks for a great 2018 summer and I will
see you all at the Awards Banquet!
