Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking information for “waste of game” of a bull elk killed in Hunting District 622 near McCarty Coulee, by Timber Creek Bay, in southern Phillips County. The elk was likely killed on Thursday, September 17. FWP wardens Todd Tryan and Ben Morin said the elk, which had died from an arrow wound, had been partially skinned, poorly boned out, and had the head removed. Over 23 pounds of meat were later removed by wardens from the quarters, and both tenderloins were not removed. Montana Hunting Regulations require that “all four quarters above the hock, including loin and backstrap are considered suitable for food.” Although not required by law, none of the substantial neck meat was removed. “It’s unfortunate to see such careless disregard for the animal. The wasted meat could have been easily removed from the carcass,” said Morin. Wardens came upon the elk on Friday, September 18, but it had likely been harvested on Thursday evening. Evidence of sex, which is required to be naturally attached to the carcass for transport, was left at the scene. “It’s apparent that this hunter was more concerned about taking out the head and antlers rather than removing all of the meat and taking care of the animal,” added Tryan. Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to call Warden Tryan at 406-263-0067, Warden Morin at 406-654-7630, or FWP’s 24-hour wildlife tip line at 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). The 1-800-TIP-MONT program is a toll-free number where one can report violations of fish, wildlife or park regulations. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 for providing information that leads to a conviction.

One good thing about premature ejaculation is that porn lasts you a very long time. I bought a video back in 1992 and I still haven’t made it past the FBI warning thing.

I had a job interview. The interviewer slid his laptop across the table and said, “What I want you to do is sell this to me.” So I closed the screen, unplugged it, and left. I ignored his calls for about three hours. When I did finally answer, he said, “Where is my laptop?!” And I said, “You wanna buy it?”

Have you noticed the new look on the Underpass? Thanks to the Glasgow High School Key Club, their advisor Desiree Johnson and other students from GHS who helped to get the underpass painted in time for Scotty Homecoming. Thanks to Mayor Becky Erickson and the City of Glasgow for getting the lighting fixed – it will be more inviting for people to walk through a well-lit underpass. The following businesses and individuals contributed to the cost of paint and supplies: TBID (Tourism Business Improvement District), Glasgow Beautification Committee, Ruth Ann Hutcheson, T & R Trucking, Markles Hardware, and Cottonwood Inn & Suites. THURSDAY

Winter Weather Awareness Week The week of October 5-9, 2015 is “Montana Winter Weather Awareness Week.” Each year in the United States, there are an average of 7,100 weather related vehicle fatalities, accounting for 24% of all vehicle fatalities. This is more than all other weather related deaths combined. Winter storms also claim dozens of lives in non-vehicle related accidents, and cause hundreds of millions in damages and resources to handle the snow event. In Montana, cold weather exposure and automobile accidents are the main causes of winter weather related deaths. Now is the time to make sure you are ready for winter weather. Check things around your home. Remove dead branches, clean out the gutters, clean the fireplace or wood stove chimney and stockpile enough water for everyone in your household (at least 1 gallon/person/day) for at least 3 days, including your pets. Have your tires checked, and make sure your car is ready. Do you need new windshield wipers? Is your wiper fluid low? How are your brakes? Do you have an engine block heater for your car? Are all your headlights and taillights working? Do you have an ice scraper in the car? Have the exhaust and battery checked as well. A good mechanic can check all of these things for you and provide recommendations and fixes. And most importantly, put together a survival kit and keep it in your vehicle. When driving this winter, remember the following:• Bridges can be icy, even if roads are just wet. Slow down

when approaching a bridge.• Sharp turns/curves on roads are potential accident areas.

Slow down before approaching them.• Do not use cruise control on icy roads. • Always wear your seatbelt, even in town. • Don’tCrowdthePlow!Theycan’tseeyouverywell, and

sometimes not at all. Make sure you stay far enough back. Ifyoucan’tseetheirmirrors, youaretooclose.

• Wear winter weather clothing while driving. If you are in anaccident itmaytakeawhileforsomeonetofindyouandresponderstogetthere.Youdon’twantfrostbiteorhypothermia while waiting for help.

• Spend time with teen drivers to show them how to steer through a skid, and discuss the safety rules above.
