Great God in Heaven, we are
grateful for all of Your blessings.
Thank You for preparing some-
thing better for all to look forward
to after this life. Today, we ask
You to keep us safe from those who
would be angry or seek to harm
us, as we try to help patients get well. As our world
grows more violent, we pray You help us to be calm
and busy with tasks You have made us able to
fulfill in order to save lives and heal wounds. Bless
us to get along well as part of the staff of OMC, so
that we come together as a team with one objective
- to bless Your name and be a blessing to all those
looking to us for help. We pray this prayer in jesus’
name, Amen.
Weekly Prayer brought to you

Glennette Haney Honored for Meaningful UseGlennette Haney, Nurse Practitioner at OMC Alton, achieved five years of Meaningful Use Compliance under the Eligible Provider Program. She was the only eligible provider to achieve this goal for all five years of eligibility. This program awards providers for meet-ing quality, documentation, and patient engagement measure set by CMS. Her compliance with the program provided $55,200 of additional revenue to the OMC’s bottom line.

Organizational ChangesI wanted to let everyone know about some changes that will occur with the Senior Leader-ship Team. As all of you know, Pam Lee (Chief Operating Officer) resigned a few weeks ago. Pam has taken a position in New York.
I have asked Kurt Abbey to assume the role of Chief Op-erating Officer. Kurt has been a key member of the Senior Leadership Team for the past few years and has brought much to OMC. The role of Chief Operating Officer is also going to change.
Traditionally and in most orga-nizations, the Chief Operating Officer assumes the leadership role for both nursing, ancillary and support areas. As a result, Kurt will continue as Chief Nursing Officer as well as take on some of the ancillary and support departments. Kurt will also be second in charge after me.Over the next week or so, I’ll have more information about additional changes to the orga-nizational structure. You will know as soon as I do. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Kurt or me if you have questions. My goal remains to ensure we continue to move OMC forward for patients and for each OMC co-worker…to be exceptional for patients and each other. Please congratulate Kurt on his expanded role.
