LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: Stuttgar t Army Community Ser vice receives Accreditation Status from the Army. The Stuttgart Army Community Service (ACS) program recently received a well deserved vote of confidence from the Department of the Army (DA). Every three years, all the ACS programs in the Army go through a rigorous accreditation process to validate and verify that their programs and services meet the DA and Installation Management Command (IMCOM) standards. The accreditation process is designed to evaluate ACS programs and recognize high levels of performance, integrity and quality. It ensures consistent levels of support throughout the Army tied to well being, mission readiness, installation processes and baseline Family and MWR program standards. This August, a team of 7 inspectors from IMCOM looked at over 5000 pages of material, close to 750 files and documents and interviewed ACS team members and program participants throughout the garrison. The Stuttgart ACS met all 150 Category One standards and all 58 Category Two standards,

falling two points short of a perfect score. As a result, the Stuttgart ACS program has been recommended for Accreditation to the Deputy Commanding General for the Installation Management Command. Most importantly, your Stuttgart ACS program and service delivery has been validated as one of the best in the Army.
