PAGE 1 RIFLE HIGH SCHOOL September 2019 NEWSLETTER Dear Rifle High School Students and Parents, Welcome back, Bears! I hope you have had a great summer and are looking forward to an exciting school year. I am very excited to have the honor of serving as your Principal. I look forward to building relationships with you, as well as working with teachers and staff to provide a world-class educational experience. Our first parent-teacher conferences are on Wednesday, September 4th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. All students and parents will have an opportunity to meet with their teachers to discuss student learning and progress. We invite families to come anytime within the four hour window, and no appointments are necessary. On Thursday, September 5th, we would like to invite you to attend the School Accountability Committee meeting from 6:00-7:00 PM in the library. We would love to share with parents and highlight the issues we are tackling this year. This will be the first one of the year, and we would love to have you!! The year has started out great, and our school is filled with excited teachers and students who are focusing on student achievement and positive school culture. Thank you for sharing your students with us, and please look for ways to get involved in the Rifle High School community; we would love to have you!!! Again, welcome Rifle High School families! To inquire about your student’s attendance or to excuse your student’s absence, please call the attendance office at 665-7755.

AttendanceStudent Parking on Campus

If your student drives to school, they must have a valid drivers license and a parking pass. Parking passes are $10.00 and may be purchased in the main office. If a student parks on campus without a valid parking pass, they will be accessed a $10.00 ticket.

RIFLE HIGH SCHOOL BEARS BOOSTER CLUBThe Rifle High School Bears Booster Club is a non-profit organization made up of dedicated parents, teachers, school administrators and community members. Our goals are to:

Provide support for all extracurricular related activities Provide additional opportunities to our young students Assist in school spirit and pride

The Bears Booster Club is only able to provide this support through our volunteers. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT. By joining us, you will become part of a dedicated group of individuals who are making a difference by investing in our school, our community and our futures. Any questions, please contact:

Mini Med School will improve your understanding of the human body, introduce youth to medical careers, and help attendees take charge of their health. The price is right (it’s free), there's no homework, and it's suitable for anyone from high school on.
