Greetings Division 18! I would first like to say how proud I am of all of you for the work you and your clubs have been doing. Now it’s time to bring our clubs together even more. We are planning a Dodgeball Tournament this January at Rensselaer High School. I’m looking for a committee of two members per club, one being an officer, to help me plan this as I’m sure this can be a big success. A big change is occurring this year with LTC. The new location for LTC is the Desmond Hotel which is on Wolf Road right across from the Holiday Inn. The conference will be held on March 28-30. Hope to see everybody there! Yours in service, Jacob Spencer

Hey there, Division 18! My name is Michelle Petersen and I'm the lucky girl who gets to serve as your International Trustee this year! My job is to make sure the New York, Capital, & Ohio Key Club Districts are represented at International Board meetings and that they have everything they need from Key Club International to be as successful as possible. If you ever have a question about the international level of Key Club or want to share an idea you have for the International Board, please don't be shy in contacting me! My email is [email protected]. Please keep up the incredible work you're doing in your homes, schools, & communities! Stories of your successes keep me inspired each and every day! Best Wishes, Michelle Petersen

Service Spotlights are due on the 15th of every month. October’s Service Spotlights are due on the 27th to give you more time. Every

club should submit at least one every month.

I will submit your service spotlights to the district so they could possibly be in the Empire Key (District Newsletter).

Service Spotlights should be one caption and at least one picture. The

more pictures the better!

The first meeting for me has always been the most fun out of all the Key Club meetings I’ve been to. Usually, there is food and you learn so much an d you fell so inspired afterwards that you want to serve. My first Key Club meeting

inspired me to serve and I have been serving ever since.

Have you ever wondered how I can improve my meetings? Icebreakers are the number one way to

improve your meetings. Icebreakers allow everybody to relax and have some fun before we get down to

business. Also, make sure that you have agendas and every once and a while , give out some food. Food is

the number one attracter of new members!

Just a reminder that the Youth Opportunities Fund Application is due October 15th. This grant can really help kick start a big project. Application is online at www.keyclub.org!
