This declaration notice updates the fire ant restricted area boundaries to help stop the spread of fire ants in South East Queensland.

The declaration comes into effect on 1 March 2014 and revokes and replaces all previous restricted area declaration notices for fire ants in Queensland.The Director-General of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry declares that the following suburbs and localities are in either the high risk restricted area or the low risk restricted area:

The movement restrictions mentioned in sections 51-58 of the Plant Protection Regulation 2002 apply to high risk and low risk restricted areas.
