If you are hosting parties or celebrating occasions at home, make sure you have seafood dishes on your menu to attract guests. Food is a very important part of a successful party, so you have to make sure that the food you serve is interesting and flavorful. Even if your celebration is a little low on energy, good food can spice it up. Here are a few seafood recipes you can try out, to pep up your next party.

Lobster claw steamers

2 Pounds of blanched Lobster Claws ½ a bulb of thinly sliced Fennel 3 tablespoons of Canola Oil 1 sliced shallot 3 sliced garlic cloves 3 springs of thyme 2 tablespoon of Sherry ½ a cup of white wineissu

To make the dish first, take a big pot, and fill it with salt and water. Bring it to a boil and cook the lobster claws in it for about three minutes after which you shock them in ice water. Then, take a large pot and heat it before you add the canola oil. After the oil simmers add the shallots and fennel. Once they are translucent add the garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds. After done add the thyme and Lobster claws and give it a good mix. Then, take a pan and deglaze it with sherry and white wine. Cook the claws still they are properly done. You can either serve the claws with the liquid or strain the claws and serve it with the liquid as a dip.

You can cook seafood recipes to make your celebrations grand. Another recipe you can try out is Salad of Green Mango with Prawn and Lobster Tail and Lime-Chili Dressing. This salad is fresh and therefore will be something refreshing for the palate. To make the dish you will require:

2 minced chilies The juice of 1 lemon White pepper, freshly ground and salt The juice of 2 limes

2 cups of extra virgin olive oil 4 peeled and julienned mangoes 12 deveined, peeled and cooked prawns 4 ounces of fresh, julienned snow peas 3 shelled, cut lengthwise and cooked Maine Lobster tails Fried and julienned leeks (garnish) Cilantro,

chopped (garnish)

The salad is really easy and if you have ingredients ready you can make it in a jiffy. Take all the ingredients except the seafood, mangoes and snow peas and mix it in a blender. Take the dressing and keep it aside in a bowl. Add the mangoes and give it a toss. When you’re plating the salad, first place the salad in the centre of the dish and then top it with equal quantities of prawn, lobster tails and snow peas. Garnish with the leeks and cilantro.

Seafood is always a show stealer at parties, so if you want to take your celebrations to a different level, include seafood dishes in your next party.
