a place for new tech to be explored where failure is allowed and play encouraged
the version of the scientific method used to develop new technology based upon co-creation with humans

How do we research the future? Design thinking, design fiction, experimentation and building community. And lots of iterations.

“The primary goal of the EyeBeacons project is to support visually impaired people navigating through public spaces with the ultimate goal to increase their mobility, independence and social participation.”

solution technology
Decawave DWM1001-DEV chips - support ultra wide broadband. - Radius of 60m - act either as a tag or as an anchor - 4 anchors combined create a navigable map with x, y and z coordinates - one tag is used by the user which receives x,y and z coordinates from the anchors
Android system

1- It’s messy. Each project is different and there are unknown unknowns.
2- Always have a human if you want successful human centred design.
3- Test a lot and record everything.
4- Good usability means a good service. Co-creation is a necessity.
5- Define the MVP and agree to it with the team.
6- Be aware of the business case.
7- Don’t forget to play :)
7 things about service design and innovation labs.
