Michele is the Team Leader for ‘Joining Hands for Jeri’. The team will participate in their 11

th Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk this October. ‘Joining

Hands for Jeri’ has donated nearly $30,000 over the last five years, with most of the funds raised through the auctions. Check out our Facebook page, Team

Join us for Coffee Hour after the service.

Parlor People, Sunday, 11am – noon. All adults are welcome to participate in Parlor people nearly every Sunday, 11am

to noon. Parlor people resumes on September 11. Bill Rohm will lead a discussion on 9/11: What Would Jesus Do? On September 18, we welcome Alesia Skinner,

owner of Paxtang Cemetery to talk about green burials. See our Christian Formation page for more information.

Also, Jane Hoover, Bill Rohm and I are interested in hearing about what you believe are your spiritual needs and/or the spiritual needs of the congregation. Our Mission statement says we’re “called to grow: in service, in numbers of disciples, and in grace.” How can Parlor People help us fulfill our mission? Let us know, so

we can plan some Parlor People sessions around these needs.

Men’s Breakfast - each Wed., 9am, Espresso Yourself Café. Women’s Breakfast - September 14, 9am, May’s Railside.

The September 4 service will be held at St. Stephen.

Craft and lunch at the Commons, Tuesday, August 30, 11am – 1pm.

We’ll be doing a craft for the fall and providing lunch. All are welcome to join in the fun. If you can donate a side dish or dessert for lunch, please see Wendy Day.

Children In Need of School Shoes Darlene Amsler and Susan Rice are collecting monetary

contributions to purchase school shoes for elementary students in need in Perry County. The guidance counselors will be providing the necessary information on

each student and Darlene and Susan will be doing the shopping. Nativity is sponsoring this ministry, not as part of Join Hands.

If you would like to make a contribution, please see Darlene or Susan.

Are you being called to serve on Vestry or as a Delegate to Diocesan Convention?

The Nominations Committee is accepting nominations through Sept. 4. Please see Shannon Burns, Jill Brownfield or Joanne Pinaire if God is calling you to serve.

Queens Who Cook! September 10, 2:00-4:00pm, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 248 Seneca St., Harrisburg. This fundraiser supports St. Paul’s Building Fund and the St.

Barnabas Summer Camp Fund. Tickets are $20 for the afternoon of food, fun and fellowship. They are also looking for additional cooks. For more information,

Bishop’s Open Golf Tournament and Dinner, Mon., Sept. 12, Mountain View Golf Club, Boalsburg, 10am.

Golfers and sponsors are needed for this tournament, which benefits food and hunger ministries in the Diocese. Brochures are at the back of the church or
