SERVICES AT TEMPLE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL'S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER
Todd Belok
INTRODUCTION Since 2012, Todd Belok has worked as a health care technician focused
on such areas as patient care, psychiatric care, and emergency care. Currently, Todd Belok serves as a mental health technician in the Behavioral Health Center at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Located on the Episcopal Campus, the university’s primary behavioral health facility contains 74 adult beds and an additional 44 extended psychiatric beds, in addition to a wide range of outpatient services for both children and adults. The department is one of four Emergency Crisis Response Centers in the city.
The center’s psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and nurses have completed advanced training in a range of fields, including geriatric care and pain management. With this varied collection of professionals, the center can provide many services to patients.
TEMPLE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL In addition to benefiting from general medication
management and consultations, patients may participate in group and one-on-one psychotherapy sessions and take psychological and neuropsychological tests. Specialized programming offers aid to those experiencing anxiety, depression, and other behavioral disorders that may or may not combine with addiction.
A well-respected facility, the Behavioral Health Center has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Press Ganey Summit Award (2008-2010) and the Guardian of Excellence Award (2014 and 2015).
