What is a prototype?
u A Prototype is an early sample or model built to test an idea.
Low Fidelity Prototype
Examples:
u Storyboarding.
u Sketching

u Quick and inexpensive.
u Disposable/throw-away.
CONS
u Lack of realism
for an Aplicaction
for a Movie or Shortfilm
for a product
High Fidelity prototype
u A High Fidelity prototype look and operate closer to the finishedproduct.
Examples:
u 3D plastic model with movable parts (allowing users to manipulateand interact with a device in the same manner as the final design)

u Engaging

u Take much longer to produce than low-fi prototypes.
Sketch
u A sketch is not designed to be a detailed drawing that getsevery element perfect.
u It captures the essentials of the subject
u Rough design of what you want to represent.
Sketch / Prototype
Activityu Once the SCAMPER table is complete.
u Each team member will design a prototype of a different idea in paper or in photoshop.
u Then:
u Create a power point presentation with
u 1st slide: Name of the group, name of team members and group.
u 2nd - 6, 7th slide: Each design on a different slide with the name of the creator.
u Last slide: Place the best prototype and explain the reasons of choosing that design.
u Name the power point presentation TEAM###_prototype_grpYYY.png (where ### is the name of the team, and YYY is the number of group)
u Upload it to the corresponding folder in google drive.
Use cam scanner
u You can use cam scanner, to scan your paper sketches, save them in your phone, and passthem to your computer.
