48/50

Conclusion and Way Forward

Since immediately after the earthquake, JICA has implemented a diverse range of BBB recovery projects firmly based on scientific analysis.

The ongoing recovery efforts need to reduce Nepal’s social, economic and physical vulnerability to disasters, so that the future disasters will not be caused by the same vulnerability.

Therefore, the current process of BBB-based recovery should contribute to more comprehensive longer-term DRR measures at all levels.
