NDC Family Use Care

Challenges remain after NDC

• NDC modernizes only the shopping/ distribution part of our systems

• Squeezing NDC offer bundles into Tickets/EMDs creates complexity and is sometimes impossible

• Still multiple data containers with equal information which have to be synchronized

• All processes regarding accounting and servicing remain more or less the same

ONE Order Task Force

ONE Order Key Principles

• Not mandatory

• ONE Order is a data communication exchange standard based on XML technology – not a system

• The aim is to combine information already existing on PNRs, ETKTs, EMDs into a single structured and flexible electronic record

• ONE Order can flexibly add in new services that can be sold through NDC but are difficult to full-fill through PNR/TKT/EMD.

• ONE Order is part of the global StBroadmap, following ET, EMD and NDC programs

• Supported by the IATA Board, the program develops the ONE Order messaging standard and will drive industry adoption:

• Phase 1 : Standard development

• Phase 2 : Industry capability & adoption
