Alcohol is a depressant drug.

Alcohol is not poisonous to the human body.

The safe limit for alcohol consumption for under 18s is one drink.

You can become physically addicted to alcohol as a teenager.

Drinking too much on one occasion can kill you.

More than half of young people in the UK aged 11-15 are choosing not to drink

Drinking exaggerates whatever mood you are in before you start drinking.

Being sick as a result of drinking alcohol may mean you have alcohol poisoning.

•Alcohol is a factor of 20 – 30% of all accidents.

• 1 in every 7 15 -16 year olds have been involved in an accident as a result of drinking alcohol.

• The Wirral has the fourth worst figures in England for drink-related hospital admissions amongst the under-18s

• Alcohol contributes to 5% of young people’s deaths.

• 47% of all victims of violence said their attacker was affected by alcohol at the time.

• 87% of 11 -15 years olds don’t drink weekly.

• 55% of 11-15 year olds have never drunk alcohol.

• Underage drinking is falling in the UK (from 26% in 2001 down to 13% in 2010 of young people aged 11-15).

Make a list of what harm and danger could come to you as a result of drinking alcohol both in the short term and the long term.

You each have one minute to come up with your answers, the team with the most wins.
