POTENTIAL COOPERATION
1. Technologies for the management of coastal and oceanic systems: Ocean monitoring, control and surveillance, protection against risk and emergencies. Actions: Joint expeditions & exercises, sharing technology, synergies with current initiatives (ATLANTOS, EMSO, BRIDGES, FIXO3...), Atlantic networks on marine environmental prediction & response.
2. Technologies for harnessing energy in the coastal areas : OTEC, currents, offshore wind, wave and tidal. Actions: Network of Atlantic test sites, Transatlantic network of associated research infrastructures, exchange of staff, training of students.
3. Co-location and multi-use of offshore infrastructures to responsible use of the marine resources. Actions: Joint demonstration projects, public-private partnerships.
