Public SwimThese sessions are open to all.
Fun FloatsA fun packed session with floats. An exciting experience for children of all ages.
Early BirdStart the day with a morning swim and get the benefit of a reduced price. These sessions are open to swimmers of all ages and abilities. 2 or 3 lanes are usually available at this session.
Lunch Time SwimKeep fit during your lunch hour, with the added incentive of a reduced price. 2 or 3 lanes are usually available at this session.
Ladies OnlyThis session is for ladies wanting to swim lengths for fitness or to simply relax. Younger swimmers (aged 12 years+) may access this session upon prior approval from the Duty Manager. N.B Swimmers aged 12 - 16 years of age must be accompanied in the water by a participating adult.

Learn to SwimFor children aged over 3 years through to adults. Tees Actives Learn to Swim scheme follows the ASA’s framework for swimming lessons. Our inclusive programme takes the non-swimmer on their own individual aquatic journey. For full details, pick up our Learn to Swim Parent’s Guide from one our venues or via our website.
School SwimmingSchool swimming lessons at Thornaby Pool take place daily from 9.15am-12pm and 1pm-3pm during term time. If you are interested in finding out more details about school swimming lessons for your school, please email [email protected]
Swimming Admissions Policy*Any child under the age of 8 years old regardless of their swimming ability MUST be supervised in the water at all times by a responsible person, aged 16 years and over. Supervision is on the ratio of ONE adult for every TWO children, under 8 years of age.
Under 10’s PolicyAll children under the age of 10 years old using the facilities must be accompanied in the building by a responsible person at all times. This includes attendance at casual and coached sessions but excludes Childcare Services.
