Standard 9: Articulation
Definition: Academy articulates with middle schools via at least 3 career academy activities.
• Middle School Feeder Programs• Virtual Field Trips using Skype• Team with Administration• Recruiting begins Dec. 9, 2011 (post HS Showcase)
Standard 3: Program of Studies
Definition: A rigorous and relevant POS is defined for grades 9-12.
• Meet with Curriculum Assistant Principal to review what is in the program of studies.
• Discuss courses offered in academy with AP and academy team.
Standard 1: Integrated Curriculum
Definition: A minimum of 25% of at least 1 out of 4 of the academic courses integrated with the career area. Unit Reflections to be completed at the conclusion of each integrated unit. A minimum of 2 Curriculum in Action visits per school year.
