session:10.15am - 2 - gns science · “ruaumoko what lies beneath” a premier information sharing...
TRANSCRIPT
We live on a plate margin where two giant tectonic plates grind together and one is pushed under the other.
We see this in many forms: the uplifting of the alps, volcanoes, thermal activity and, of course, earthquakes.
We are still being born and are going through processes that, in other parts of the world, happened hundreds of millions of years ago.
Session:10.15am - 2.10pm
GNS Science and Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga are delighted to present “Ruaumoko What Lies Beneath”
a premier information sharing and networking platform for the amalgamation of Māori Knowledge, western sciences and research.
