As you all may know, Philadelphia American now contracts with various Surgical Centers in Texas

and Oklahoma. These state-of-the-art facilities work with PALIC’s schedule of benefits.

I’d now like to share my own experience with Star Medical Center, a surgical hospital located in Pla-

no, Texas.

I make it no secret that I am a proud Philadelphia American Policy Holder. Back in November 2017, I

was informed that I needed a Vein Ablation Out-Patient Surgery. The diagnosis was made by a doc-

tor who was not affiliated with Star. Knowing that we now have other options as policyholders, why

not test them out? So I contacted Kara Golden, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Star Medical

Center who then laid the ground work for the unparalleled service I received.

Star Medical Center connected me with one of their board-certified physicians, Dr. Jerome Naifeh.

Both Star Medical and Dr. Naifeh agreed to accept my Surgical Procedure Benefit.

I paid nothing out-of-pocket!

On the day of the procedure, they took such good care of me! My surroundings were comforting.

The staff was extremely personable which put my mind at ease. The way they handled my care was

as if I were being treated by family. Kara even visited with me before the procedure to wish me well.

They also provided my mom with lunch as she awaited my recovery.

Since then, we have referred multiple clients needing surgical procedures performed.

After my experience at Star, I’d refer clients with great confidence.
