Director’s Letter to the Association I thank God for another year as your Director. At times this year, the days were long and the highway miles got old, but this was a good year for my health and opportunities to serve. I finished doing an Interim Pastorate at Vinita First in April. Then I hit the road visiting churches. The last of October I was asked to step in at First Salina as Interim Pastor. Both of these great churches faced some challenges. As one who had a rela-tionship with the people in these churches, it made an easier

transition for them as they prepare for seeking a new Pastor. This was a busy year of activities and ministry provided by your association. With the year came new challenges for some of our churches and its staff. Helping meet the needs were a challenge, but God always seemed to help give the grace and wisdom. What will 2011 bring? I am excited to see what God will do in each of our churches. Welcome to all the new staff that has come to CMBA in 2010. It will be my hope to get to know you and together serve our Lord in His kingdom work. Love you, Dr. Bruce Mason Director of Missions

youth service in July. Ten Vinita-area kids showed up for that first service, and four of them accepted Christ that night. To date, we are averaging in double digits in attendance, and we have seen fifteen professions of faith and several recommitments to Christ as a result of what God is doing through this resurrected youth ministry. As the church year drew to a close, we saw the baptismal waters stirred often. Six kids were baptized during the months of August and September (including two sets of brothers and sisters on back-to-back Sundays). Those brought our total baptisms for the church year to nine, which is the highest total in a decade. Because of what God has done in our midst and the many lives He has touched, we chose to end the church year with a cele-bration concert featuring Amy Hill, Christian recording artist and member of FBC, Vinita. We give God the glory for who He is and what He has done, and we look forward to even greater things in the year to come! Vinita White Oak Our associate Pastor, Shane Culp, accepted pastorate at Timberhill Baptist Church. With mixed feelings we sent them off with our blessings to follow God’s calling. On June 14, 2010 we celebrated our 60th anniversary with all day activities. “Honoring The Memory of Those Who Have Gone Before” was our theme. We had some of the charter members and their families in attendance, as well as previous pastors. After the Morning Worship Service everyone was treated to a great meal. The afternoon consist-ed of special music, and congregational singing with the Master of Ceremonies our Pastor, Leland Bartlett. Wayne Collins was our former pastor who spoke of the past. Todd Jones, Youth Minister, spoke of the future. David Smith, Associate Pastor, and Bill Spradling, Chairman of Deacons, had the opening and closing prayers. We also wanted to give thanks to those who are faithfully carrying on. In April 2010 we had a celebration in the Moring Worship Service to honor two charter members who are present members, Majel Dick Guthrie and Howard Secondine. They were each given a lap robe made by the Women’s Ministry Team. We have a Wednesday program for children and youth. Todd and Debbie Jones wanted to have an evening meal for the youth and their family. Their idea was that they would bring extra and share with the youth. Our church got behind the program and includ-ed the children’s Bible Buddies program also. We have volunteers who bring food, women who cook at church, people donate meat, and the meal is served to 60-70 each Wednesday night. We have send a growth in children, youth, and adults in the midweek Bible studies. We actually have more children and youth attending on Wednesday than on Sunday morning. Our bus ministry runs Wednesday evening, Sunday morning and evening.

We sent three young people on three different missionary trips through Awe Star Minis-tries: 1. Amy Webb and Jesse Greene went to Mexico during Christmas break. 2. Jesse Greene and Wes Yoder went to Mexico during Spring break. 3. Amy Webb ministered in the Three Frontiers during the summer. We hosted our 10th Annual Adair School Appreciation Luncheon for all Adair school employees. Todd Fannin and Cocklebur provided the entertainment. A steeple was installed in September with funds being donated in memory of Don Boling and Cotton Duncan. Vinita First Privileged to have Amy Hill’s CD release concert/party on May 2. Vinita Trinity The 2009-2010 church year began, as always, with a busy month of October. We held our annual Fall Revival with Bro. Kevin Lancaster, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Ketchum, as speaker and Dr. Bill Green, retired associate executive director of the BGCO, as worship leader. God stirred the hearts of many people during that week, and we had two people join the church by letter and one present herself as a candidate for baptism. We also held our annual Choir Festival during the month of October, in which choirs from Vinita, Claremore, and Miami participated. It was a wonderful afternoon of worship and praise! The winter of 2009-2010 proved to be a difficult one for the church, as we had to cancel services four times due to wintry weather. However, despite the cold tempera-tures, snow, and ice, we still found ways to fellowship together through our annual Christ-mas dinner and candlelight service, our Baptist Men’s Day in January, and our Valentine’s Banquet in February (with music provided by Jeremy Annett, minister of music at FBC, Vinita). Our Spring Revival was held in April during the week after Easter. Bro. Tom Landsaw, senior pastor of FBC, Chouteau, was our revival speaker. Worship was led by Bro. Steve Mowery, minister of music at FBC, Locust Grove, along with his wife, Kim. Again, God moved in the hearts of His people during that week of revival, and many lives were touched and inspired by the wonderful music and the powerful preaching of God’s Word. Our annual men’s chili, stew, and dessert cook-off was held in May. In addition to getting our tummies filled with good food, we also enjoyed the preaching of special guest Dr. David Whitlock, president of Oklahoma Baptist University. The summer kicked off with our annual Vacation Bible School in the early part of June. We averaged 61 kids for the week and saw 11 kids give their hearts to Jesus on Parents’ Night. The following week, we launched our brand new “Kingdom Kids” Wednesday night ministry for children from kindergarten through fifth grade. Our pastor’s wife, Erica Goodrich, heads up this ministry and is assisted by a talented group of ladies who provide snacks, crafts, and other activities for the kids. We had 12 kids show up the first week, and attendance has not been below double digits since. On the last Sunday in June, Dr. Anthony Jordan, executive director-treasurer of the BGCO, was our guest speaker and challenged our church to adopt a “sinner-friendly” mentality just as Jesus did. The 2009-2010 church year also saw the rebirth of our church’s youth ministry. God moved upon the hearts of two youth ministers from within our association, Cory Nich-olas and Jon Willhite, to partner with us in reaching the youth of Vinita. With the help of these two young men and the youth from their churches, we launched our Tuesday night

mission team from Louisiana who helped hang drywall in our sanctuary and in July we hosted a team from Texas that again helped hang drywall. In September we held a church-wide work-day where members of our church came together to continue drywall work, hang insulation, and clean. In August, six church members traveled to Bangalore, India with Dr. Cyril Antony and Touch India Ministries to minister to pastors, widows, and children in India. From June through July our children and youth ministries had Vacation Bible School, and two camps. More than 270 children and young people were involved with more than 30 making salvation decisions. Since August a committee has been working to prepare for our church’s Centennial Celebration. Former staff and leaders in Chouteau and across the state have been invited to celebrate this achievement with us on October 24, 2010. Ketchum, FSBC We will be celebrated our 100th year church anniversary on November 14, 2010. Pleasant Hope Re-modeling on the Parsonage began this year. New insulation and roof was installed in the Gym. Two in our church participated in mission work: Miss Hannah Hudson, one of our youth girls went to Vail Colorado during May, and Mr. James Jeans, layman, went to Haiti dur-ing June. Twelve of the church’s members received Disaster Relief Training thru the Oklaho-ma Baptist Convention. Pleasant View We had a tent at Trader’s Day each month and gave out cold water, coffee, and pop-corn, Bibles and tracts. Our youth helped Pryor Ministries move to their new location. One of our members, Martha Peck, is leaving on a mission trip to Russia. Strang, First We have been blessed with a wonderful new pastor and his lovely family, Rev. J.R. Curtsinger. We are adding new playground equipment, and have updated our sound system. In our community we are beginning a new evangelistic approach which we hope will add to the Kingdom. There were 12 youth and children saved at GCBA this summer and our Youth group is continuing to grow. We had one member surrender to preach the Gospel. Timberhill

• Our Interim, August (Butch) Miller left the church December 2009. • Shane Culp excepted our call to Pastor in February 2010. • Twins, Brody and Bryce White, were baptized December 2009.

Utopia We exceeded our goal of 37 shoeboxes and filled 60 for Operation Christmas Child. Addie’s Blanket Mission was a huge success. A total of 93 blankets and Bibles were delivered to two local nursing homes in December. We called Bro. Randy Thorman as a bi-vocational pastor in March with a 100% vote. Bro. Randy was ordained on May 23, 2010.

Historical Events in our Churches: Adair, First The following men were ordained as deacons this past year: Roger Miller, Merl Troy-er, Chris Potter, Chance Mooney, and Matt Conrad. These young men were licensed to the call of Christian Ministry: Tyler Messimore, Felton Mooney, and Andrew Dixon. Big Cabin Baptist Church We hosted a wonderful concert by Yo Yo Collins on November 22, 2009. It is such an inspiration to see faith and God-given determination overcome indescribable obstacles. G.E.M.S. Classes continue to be effective in growing, educating, and ministering to the Saints. Our small group fellowship has reaped great spiritual benefits from the Purpose Drive Life curriculum. The popular community outreach, Clothes Closet, is open one Saturday each month, and is distributing much needed clothing to the community. Movie nights continue to provide wholesome family outreach and fellowship opportunities. The church has a website at www.bigcabinbaptist.org and is maintained by member Roy Fincel. We also have a vibrant presence on Facebook. Student Ministry events included the first Cabin Bowl pick-up football game in No-vember. Our annual Harvest Night celebration continues to be a well-attended outreach to the community. Student volunteers assisted in Vacation Bible School. Bluejacket,First We have completed painting, and remodeling the Sanctuary and Education Building. We celebrated the rededication of the FBC of Bluejacket to a ministry of worship, service, witnessing, preaching, and teaching in our community, our association, and our mission outreach on the 17th of October. This coincided with our 112th Church anniversary, and the beginning of our fall revival with Evangelist Buffalo of Quapaw. We enjoyed worshiping together, and sharing in a fellowship meal before the dedication service. Carter Baptist Church Our church was saddened by the loss of Mrs. Fred (Annie Pearl) Miller. Mrs. Miller was a charter member who was instrumental in the development of the church. She was a long standing Music Director and Adult Sunday School Teacher until her latter years. The church was fortunate to have one of our youth accompany a group to Africa during the summer to help with a Bible School in an under developed community. Her testimo-ny on returning gave the congregation a new understanding of how blessed we are and how great the need to spread the message of Jesus Christ. Chouteau Faith Pastor Brad Utley’s first day as our pastor was May 9, 2010. We ordained him on August 8. On August 14, 2010 we celebrated our 30th Anniversary as Chouteau Faith Baptist Church. Chouteau First In August 2010, the church voted to change the status of our full-time Minister of Youth to become bi-vocational, as he was recently called to missions. Throughout the year our church has continued to work on our new building. In April we hosted the Oklahoma Baptist Builders who helped to frame walls. In May we hosted a
