DESCRIPTION

n this Solid Edge hands-on training session, we will take a look at the new Nailboard commands. Solid Edge Nailboard, we take the 3D Wiring Harness model and bring that into a 2D draft file then flatten the harness to a nailboard. The new tools in Nailboard allow users to insert bends, place Connectors, Connector Tables and Conductor Tables.

Our Challenge

Design challenges to be solved

Take a 3D Wire Harness design and flatten the model to a 2D nailboard for manufacturing the layout.

How Solid Edge meets the challenge

Solid Edge ST5 introduces new functionally to create nailboards from the 3D wiring harness. Nail board creation allows flattening the harness, placing connectors, connector tables and conductor tables.
