INTRODUCTION Spirit of north east is an introduction of the life and culture of the

people of North-East India which consists of the states of Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya.

North-East ,the epitome of multiple human creativity in terms of tangible and intangible heritage which is continuing till date.

This region is unique due to its historical, archaeological, ethnographical, religious and artistic endeavours

North-East with its geographical and ecological diversity is a place of the ethereal beauty

It is the homeland of several ethnic groups of the Indo-Mongoloid origin with multiple dialects.

The topography and ecology of the plains and hills have influenced almost every sphere of the life of the people.

Derived from a SANSKRIT word “ASOMA”.

Why do the majority of Indians think of north-easterners as ‘different’?

Is it because they look different? Is it a language barrier? Is it because they are geographically far east? Is it because their regions are economically not

as vibrant as the rest of India? Is it because they are culturally different?

Result

For Indians in the North East, their country's growing economy and expanding influence in

the world stage is of little use.  They are being pushed to economic and cultural

poverty.

Solution India needs to starts more industries there. Open up the more of the best educational

institutions in that part of the country. They have to feel that they belong to India.
