Objectives- Continuation and expansion of reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, critical thinking, and writing skills.

Reading 20 minutes of reading nightly 1 outside reading book per quarter (approx. 150 pages) Reading Journals Book talks and Peer Recommendation Wall Literary analysis

Vocabulary Wordly Wise workbook and quizzes

Grammar Workbook Writing Workshop

Writing process, craft lessons, and peer editing Various forms (short stories, poems, essays, etc.)

Technology Laptops are used for composing and

editing. Internet is used for research and for

auxiliary course materials.
