DUBAI PORT TRUST LAUNCH 2011

India’s First International Container Transshipment Terminal was launched in Kochi on 11th February 2011.The port was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Dr.Manmohan Singh in a ceremony that was attended by over 5000 customers, officials & dignitaries.Dr. Manmohan Singh together with DP World Chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem laid the foundation stone for the Vallarpadam International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) in February 2005, and on 11th Feb 2011, the Prime Minister dedicated the new terminal to the Indian nation.The event started off with the inaugural event at the DP World Port in Vallarpadam, Kochi.This was followed by tours of the terminal for VIP guests as well as media. Post the tour all guests were taken by boat to the Taj Malabar for lunch. The DP World guests were served lunch at the Gala celebration that took place on the lawns. The media were served lunch at the banquet hall of Taj Malabar post which a press conference was held with the DP World officials.Seventy EMG was the logistic, ground production, event execution and hospitality partner for the DP WORLD launch We handled three core function area to specify; the main inauguration at the DPW terminal, gala lunch and press conference at Taj Malabar

CHANNEL V INDIAFEST

The unique factor about Nokia India Fest was its scale and size, with 1032 colleges registered with over 50000 students who had enrolled to attend the college festival. The fest was spread over two days with participants from diverse cities and colleges like IIT Mumbai, Hindu College-Delhi, RVCE-Bangalore, Bhavanipur College-Kolkata, NM College-Mumbai to name a few. The first day witnessed an enthusiastic participation from students from various colleges across India in events like Launchpad, Footloose, Beat It, Kahaani poori filmi hai, The clock’s ticking, Fresh face, Director’s cut, Blitzkrieg and many more. The day saw an amazing end with electrifying performances by famous national and international artists like Rescues, Shaa’ir & Func, Indus Creed and Skazi. The audiences also experienced a slice of Indian Heritage with the Indian folk performances. Every attendee at the festival was given an IndiaFest wrist band which had an RFID Microchip containing their Facebook login details. RFID boxes were strategically placed at every attraction at the venue. The second day at the biggest college festival of India witnessed the finals of the previous day’s events. The registered colleges actively participated in other events of the day like Rajasthan roots, Story mein twist, When Harry met Sally, Spotlight, Tamaasha, Jazz Junction and Ad festival. The winning participants were applauded and encouraged at the awards ceremony marking the end of the country’s biggest college festival with live performances by Mohit Chauhan, Jalebee Cartel and Shpongle.

Under the stewardship of Seventy EMG, and in partnership with The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India, IIJS has become the Gem and Jewellery Industry's largest exhibition, conference and seminar conclave in Asia.

Over 800 exhibiting companies from more than 40 countries, display their products and services to more than 30, 000 registered business visitors over 5 days. Fashion shows, the Solitaire Awards, 30 Seminars, Networking Meets, Factory Visits, support the central exhibition. IIJS attracts more than 500 international visitors, staying in a range of hotels all directly serviced and looked after by Seventy Hospitality teams.

The event is one of the largest business to business events held in India. Its management has been entrusted to Seventy EMG on a turnkey basis since 2003. The success of the India International Jewellery Show year after year has been possible only through extensive planning and careful methodology. Seventy EMG has successfully produced the IIJS and Signature events for the GJEPC over the past 5 years. Annually, over 30,000 trade visitors attend the IIJS & Signature events in Mumbai and Goa. Together with the Exhibition Cell of the GJEPC, our team plans and manages all aspects of production, security and hospitality for both events.

The Kala Ghoda Association is a non-profit organization working towards physically upgrading the precinct, drawing attention to its beauty and history, and making it the Art District of Mumbai. Seventy EMG has taken over the proud onus of organizing this event since the last six years. The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, now in its tenth edition, features several workshops and coming together of like minded art lovers of the city. 100+ artifact stalls, simultaneous events spanning about 400 programs over 9 days and visited by over 500,000 people not just from the city but increasingly from across the world makes KGAF a mammoth organizational task.

The Crossword Book Award recognizes and rewards the best of Indian writing and ensures that works of merit reach a wider audience.Seventy EMG has successfully planned, designed and executed CBA for the fifth consecutive year in 2011.With Amitav Ghosh as the chief guest and eminent personalities from music, films and theatre including Shubha Mudgal, Kitu Gidwani, Joy Sengupta, Sabira Merchant participating in the theatric representations and Tom Alter being the host, this event was one of the most talked about shows in the literary circuit.

MAGIC BUS BENEFIT 2011 – MUMBAI

70 EMG took great pride in supporting and consequently being chosen to produce the first ever Magic Bus Benefit that took place in September 2011. It was an event which had Shaan performing live & 20 of the most exciting ‘once in a lifetime experiences,’ like a F1 hotlap with Lewis Hamilton, a custom designed outfit from Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and a cycling tour through Bordeaux, going under-the-hammer. The evening featured some of India’s most renowned personalities, all of whom were present to extend their support to the Magic Bus spirit and cause.

CHIVAS STUDIO SPOTLIGHT

Envisioned as a series of highly luxurious and mesmerizing evenings, the Chivas Studio Spotlight was co-created by 70EMG along with globally renowned alcohol manufacturer Pernod-Ricard for their premium whiskey brand Chivas Regal, a brand that stood for luxury, chivalry and exuberance. For the Chivas Studio Spotlight, Chivas along with KWAN Entertainment played host to an eclectic mix of guests from fields of Cinema, Art, Fashion and Music. 70EMG also allied with The Skoda Prize to display the works of art of this year’s shortlisted participants, designer Arjun Agarwal who showcased contemporary fashion, Vardenchi Motorcycles who presented their customized range of motorcycles and Apparao Galleries who put up an exhibit of the works of installation artist Smriti Dixit.

SMIRNOFF EXPERIENCE

Smirnoff Experience as an event has acquired cult status with the Indian Clubbing community over the years. The years 2004 to 2007 saw top DJs like Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, Ferry Corsten. The Dance Festival property was back after a 2 year hiatus. Innovative talent, sound, light and video technology raise the bar higher every year. 2010 saw Cosmic Gate headlining the 3 city tour. The event also saw Indian electronic music sensation Jalebee Cartel’s live set in Delhi and DJ Pearl in Mumbai and Bangalore. Artists like lichtfaktor made it an “Experience” of its kind with their wonderful light antics and live messaging on screen.

Each event in the Tournament was set against varied backdrops. 70 EMG along with the SET proved its versatility by taking over 400 international guests through a journey into India – the opening ceremony set against India Gate, moving on to the various other events which incorporated glimpses of the Rich Indian Wedding, Bollywood and of course bringing world class Golfers Behind the Bar.

The Johnnie Walker Classic Golf Tournament has been held a grand total of 15 times, in 7 different countries and venues swamped with world class players. The tournament was hosted in India for the first time, and Seventy EMG in association with IMG is proud to take ownership of the execution and production of the event.

HAIG VINTAGE RALLY 2007 - 2008

The Haig Vintage Rally is a visual spectacle and a sensory delight. Every year the team working behind the Rally has to approach the dense database of vintage vehicle owners, register them and create the trail they will follow on the main roads of the big cities. This time, the Rally was extended to 3 of the major cities – Mumbai, Delhi & Hyderabad. Each year, this event grows from strength to strength posting the largest turn out of 200 vintage and classic cars & motorcycles in any such rally in the country.

The Cartier 'Travel With Style' Concours took place over the weekend of 1st and 2nd November 2008 at the Royal Western India Turf Club, showcasing an extraordinary collection of India's unique Vintage Cars. Set to rank alongside the other world-renowned Concours like the Cartier 'Style Et Luxe' at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 'Concorsa D'Eleganza' at the Villa D'Este and the 'Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance' in California, the Cartier 'Travel with Style' Concours has put India on the International Classic Car Circuit and has been instrumental in inviting international collectors to participate over the years to come.

The International Judging Panel included eminent personalities like HRH Prince Michael of Kent, Nick Mason, Sir Michael Kadoorie, Imran Khan, Gordon Murray, James Lindsay and Yasmin Le Bon amongst others.

Seventy EMG flawlessly produced what has come to be known as the most exclusive vintage car showcasing ever seen in India. Taking over the Member's Enclosure at the Royal Western India Turf Club, 62 vintage cars owned by 40 eminent car collectors from across the country were showcased and judged in a beautiful Royal Garden Party setting that left both the Indian as well as the International guests spell-bound with the aesthetics and ambience of the event.

The first-ever exhibition of Anish Kapoor in India opened at the Mehboob Film Studios, Mumbai. Each display focused on a different strand of the artist ’s practice and together formed one of the largest and most ambitious exhibitions of the artist’s work ever to be shown. This exhibition focused on recent polished steel pieces and mechanical works in red wax, including Shooting into the Corner (2008-09).

On the 30th of August, 2009 Harley-Davidson kicked off its journey in India. A group of riders with a shared passion rode through 35 kilometres of Delhi's tree lined avenues and side streets on the world's most iconic motorcycle. Harley-Davidson‘s first official Founders' Ride began at the Magique - Garden of Five Senses, with a halt at India Gate, the country's most cherished monument for a quick photo shot of the group. With over 25 bikes displayed at Magique, and 200 guests who were a part of a much awaited brunch after, the Harley-Davidson Founder's Ride was a memorable event …..Definitely one of many to come!

Seventy EMG conceptualized and designed the stall, winning rave reviews for its different yet modern take on stall design. The biggest challenge was to design and execute a stall with 419 meters of available space, which by Auto Expo standards was quite small.

The design, keeping in mind the space constraints was a simple not cluttered one - built to withstand the onslaught of 2 million visitors but at the same time provide a look and feel of the products, including the merchandise. The centre of the stall was designed to highlight their 2 top end models – the Night Rod Special and the Special India Edition Fat boy. The stall was divided into 2 areas – A VIP level for one on one meetings and a regular level to manage daily visitors. The stall not only looked masculine and strong but also conveyed a story with personal touches like framed H-D frames from past events. Authentic Shingeri Melam dancers from Kerala with Harley revs mix revelation idea reflected the raw, Pure India Pure Harley-Davidson theme and pegged as the most different form of revelation at Auto Expo 2010.

The Result ? Autocar India quotes “Easily the most outstanding 2-wheeler stall this year”.

The concept for the Skoda Superb launch was a 7- star luxury experience aptly coined ‘The 7 Star Superb Life’. Uncompromised quality and luxury sensibilities at every level won 70EMG this pitch against 2 other agencies – from the white gloved butler who invited each guest personally with a Veuve Cliquot and chartered flights, to accommodation at one of the world’s finest destination spas - Ananda in the Himalayas, the guests reveled in the ‘Superb Life’. Noteworthy elements of the event such as Yanaa Gupta’s Jazz performance, 7 Steps to a Superb Life – a wellness package created for the Skoda guests and customization at every touch point added to the ultra luxury translation of the brief. The car was officially launched in March ‘09 at Taj Palace, Delhi at a media event and dealer meet on the same day hosted by Skoda India MD, Thomas Kuehl. The introduction of the car was woven into a replica of ‘The tonight’s show with Jay Leno’ interactive format with live musicians brought together by Vivek Rajgopalan.S

A 360 degree approach which started with a Familiarization tour for select media to visit the Zara HQ, stores and distribution centre in Spain followed by an apt PR strategy planned with The Communication Council followed by guestlists, celebrity management, catering, the launch events in the New Delhi and Mumbai stores and a post launch evaluation of the spends by the brand.Each and every aspect of the brand launch in India was meticulously planned by the 70EMG team in New Delhi and Mumbai.New Delhi had the beautiful Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe- Lara Dutta launching the brand followed by a fashion show. 70 EMG joined hands with PEOPLE magazine in unveiling the third edition of ‘India’s Best Dressed’, featuring one of the most awaited lists of the best dressed women and men in the country. The set designed in-house reflected the image of the World Gold Council, with customized mirror acrylic elements creating the stage and a golden carpet laid out for the best dressed stars of the evening. For the title sponsor Mercedes-Benz, an exclusive Car display installation was also created by 70 EMG inspired by the theme ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The highlight of the evening was an exclusive fashion show by Manish Malhotra, choreographed by ace Fashion Choreographer Lubna Adams and featuring Priyanka Chopra.

The design & production challenge for one of the largest and most prestigious weddings of the season was to recreate the grandeur of the Mysore Palace, detailing it to perfection over a record time of just 2 days of available set up time. A 1000+ crew created the massive 60' high structure spread across 3 lawns, covering a total area of approximately 100,000 sqft. More than 20,000 meters of fabric was used as draping on over a kilometer of woodwork & fiber structures. Life-size replicas of the palatial rooms were recreated, replete with authentic royal furniture and accessories to complete the look and ambience of the palace.
