WAG Community Action for Climate Change: Pathfinder Programme

• Part of the WAG’s broader programme of work to support community led work on climate action (Climate Change Strategy for Wales, Oct 2010)

• 6 Pathfinder Officers hosted by Local Authorities across Wales

• 22 month programme starting on March 1st 2011

• Best Practice for local delivery of Community Carbon Saving schemes (energy, transport, food & water)

• Trial and research – different approaches to community engagement, behaviour change and scheme delivery

• Mapping, data collection on areas of activity/inactivity

• Creation of Pan-Wales Steering Group linking active groups and communities across sectors e.g. Community Action for Climate Change Networks

• Collaboration and exchange of Best Practice
