†† Requires SF Oracle RAC 5.0 MP3 RP4 and later
††† If a private network interface (on which the private IP address for Oracle GridInfrastructure is configured) is brought down on a running 11.2.0.2 and 11.2.0.3cluster node, the HAIP resource fails to fail over the private IP address. This causesthe Oracle instance to fail on the node from which the private interface is broughtdown. This is because AIX does not notify the status change in the network interface.Oracle and IBM are working together to resolve this issue (Oracle bug ID: 10373244).
Workaround: Append the following lines at the end of the file /etc/rc.net:
# /usr/sbin/ifconfig interface_name monitor >>$LOGFILE 2>&1
where interface_name is the name of the network interface, one interface per line.
